Premiership's worst - Poor old igor

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby stmichael » Fri Jul 09, 2004 3:45 pm

Liverpool midfielder Igor Biscan has been named as the Premiership's worst player by 442 magazine.

"Poor old Igor Biscan," said the magazine. "Some players become synonymous with the failure of the manager who bought them, regardless of whether their own performances are terrible or simply underwhelming.

"As Gerard Houllier spent most of the season under increasing pressure for Liverpool's ordinariness, Biscan was one of a number of oft-citied examples."

El Hadji Diouf and Leeds United's Roque Junior were runners-up.

I wonder if there were a few other of Houlliers buys in contention. ???

There were worse players than biscan last season. Titus Bramble for one made Igor look world class at times.

:D

hehe I don't know how far I can disagree actually. He is unlucky to be played as a defender against people like Henry when he is a midfielder though.

I think it was rather unfair but it just shows how we as a club have become a laughing stock.Oh! for Rafa to get us back on the trail of gaining our respect back.

fair point supersub. i think biscan won it hands down when you consider the stature of the club he plays for.

The only calamity worse was when Souness got conned by Weah's supposed brother when he was boss at Southampton. That dude only played a half and got found out it seems to have taken GH a little bit longer. For Rafa it must be like getting left that really horrible purple vase by your nan after she dies. You dont wanna be horrible to it out of respect but you cant give it away coz nobody wants it so it ends up in your next car boot sale.
The man who came to merseyside from Newcastle, the man who says he's part of Liverpool as much as the Liver building. When he was needed Alan Kennedy was there. And with now just 8 minutes to go it could be that Alan Kennedy has made a little history.

Yeah a circus I can imagine him as a lion tamer, and I would certainly pay to see him put his head in actually I wonder if he would close his eyes like he does when he goes to head the ball. I dont mean to be nasty but him heading its like when you throw a ball for a kid to head , you know legs straight arms to the side straight jump in the air and ball on top of the head. What really worries me about him though is that there doesnt seem to be alot going on in that head of his that blank expression and dark eyes, you wanna tell him to wake up sometimes.
