If you think he is fit enough to play against Charlton then why wouldn't he be ready to play in the cup final?  in theory, he would only be even more fit in a week and a half and clearly be our best attacking option on the left side.  And if he does manage to get injured again in the summer then it would be very hard to find someone who would take him.

Throwing him into a massive game like this would be a mistake, and TBH i havent been impressed with Harry at all since he's arrived at anfield, even when he's had a run. There has, of course, been sparks and suggestions of his talent but he has at no stage been consistantly good for us.

And as for the suggestions that he might be brought on as an 'impact player' in the final, i find this ridiculous, he's not fully match fit and he hasnt got the pace, guile and from what ive seen of him, the commitment to make a serious impact in game of this magnitude and against opposition of this quality.

to all the harry supporters (of which i know there are alot around here) i say i hope im wrong, and i hope rafa proves me wrong (as he has done on more than one occasion in the past).

And i think we should start riise LM and put arbeloa at left back, not ideal but i think our best chance of finding the balance of being able to hurt milan while still constricting them in midfield.

Oh yeah, we need to buy an amazing left winger in the summer, Queresma will win us the quadruple next season, no diggy doubt!

Until we are down a four goals and he limps off the field and then we make the mother of all come backs.  :D  He was great today.

And why would that be? You do realise that he's had a serious injury and hasn't been able to play proper football within the past 12 months, right? So who would you have in place of our best (and I do stress the word 'best') attacking left sided player we have? I'm all ears!

Kewell has to start, he looked sharp today and is a lot better than any other of our options on the left...

I would rather have a half-wit Harry Kewell over Zenden or Mark Gonzalez.

Some people need to get a grip.

kewell was excelant today!!! a serios contender for the champions league final if we go for the 4-4-2!!!
by far a best left sided option! looks fit, sharp and has lost a few on them pounds he was carrying!!
i realy do hope the guy turns his career around again at liverpool and starts showing the ability he did at leeds!!
this could be like a new signing for us!!! :)

best of luck harry!!

If anyone doubts that Kewell's a better option than any of our left-sided midfielders, including Riise, just watch the half hour or so he played today.  We were a very sluggish side until he came on and, even though we struggled to get him service, once he got on the ball, the gulf in class between him and the also-rans was telling.  Sublime skill with his dribbling, some great incisive balls to Gerrard and Riise, a marvelous cross to set up the first goal (Zenden couldn't beat Young all game and Kewell does it within a few minutes of being on the pitch) and another deft little ball that Gerrard might have scored from.  Oh, and a nice penalty as well to secure third place for us.

Kewell is simply in a different class than our other options at LM and should be given serious consideration for a start in Athens.  God, I hope he stays fit and stays put for next season...he'd be like a new signing.
