I've been to 19 AWAY games in the Premiership 2006/2007

I've been to 19 AWAY games in the premiership 2005/2006

I've not missed a FA Cup game since 1992

However due to the considerable cost involved with travelling away in the premiership I have only been to 6 HOME CL fixtures so found myself placed in the ballot.

Result = Unsuccessful

I know a LOT of fans who were in the ballot and the best I could find was 3 out of a group of 25 !

People have said fans had a 1 in chance ?

1 in 3 chance my :censored:

NOT MY COMMENTS but anyone who lives in Liverpool and surrounding areas will understand the sentiments .........

In every workplace, ale house, chippy, paper shop - everywhere where match going Reds are bumping into each other this subject is dominating everthing. If you're not in Liverpool you can't be expected to know that, but the place is in ferment. People who've taken everything that can be thrown; insult, derision, death and disaster; in the cause of supporting their team have gone feckin ballistic, some have broken down in tears at the sense of betrayal. Yes, it really is that bad.

There's pages and pages of rights and wrongs. But even the most blinkered Parryphile must be able to see something's gone astray. We're used to :censored:

allocations and missing out on Cup Finals - that's always been par for the course. But this is most definitely different.

At least a third of an already derisory allocation has not gone to supporters. Out of the 72 lads I know who were in the ballot, who've all gone to the match for decades, only two were succesful. And, honestly, that's the picture throughout the city.

Parry can slate UEFA all he likes, but 1/3 of 17,000 tickets have not been allocated to supporters and that puts him in the same boat as Platini et al. After all, he can argue that with the allocations to the two clubs and the open ballot, UEFA have given supporters the chance to buy 2/3 of the tickets available.

Don't judge all this just from what your favourite/least favourite forum poster says or on what you think of raotl/OTK/TLW/OTK/TTWR etc :censored:

cetera. Read what the vast majority of people from Liverpool are saying. This is where the greatest concentration of the club's regular support resides and the natives are worse than restless.

Doubt me? Those of you going on Sunday, try this:

Walk into the Sandon, Sam Dodds, Big Solly, Stanley, King Harry, go to the Blob Shop, Yankee or Ned Kelly's in town, or take a cab up to the Holt (if its still there!).

Order yourself a pint, stand by the bar and start talking LFC, Athens and all that - you'll always get a conversation out of a few people if you're coming accross as a genuine sort.

Once you're in the round, just drop in that you think LFC have done a sterling job in difficult circumstances and people should stop all their moaning and crying. There's always winners and losers after all.

Await reaction.....

By the way i know a bunch of lads ,10 of them all season ticket holders and not one of them got a ticket . They said they'll get in by hook or by crook , but they all know they'll be getting into massive debt to do so. Feckin disgraceful situation.

Firstly i don't understand why UEFA does a ballot of 9000 tickets, and if they must why is the closing date in Feb?
The likelyhood is that most of the winners will not be fans of the finalist, and will sell on the tickets.

Also the UEFA ballot could be done after the semis, and only include fans of the finalists, by way of some kind of proof, fan club membership, ticket stubs, season tickets, just something to get the tickets to genuine fans that will hopefully stop the touts.

Btw asking 6 game fancard holders if they want to go to final or not, before including them in the Club ballot is pointless, who would say no?
The reality is that tickets not wanted would be passed to friends or sold on, so i doubt very many would say 'no thanks i don't want to be included in the chance of getting a ticket'.

I've 2 tickets for the final, I got them from UEFA lottery, and as I'm FC BARCELONA supporter, I'm not really interested in watching the final live on the stadium...
By the way, when I won the tickets, I made a reservation for hotel and flight to ATHENS, and now I can't cancel it without charges, so I'll be in ATHENS those days from 22nd to 25th, so if anyone of you is interested in getting my tickets please contact me at vicsenor@hotmail.com
I'm not asking for a bank transfer and ticket deliver,I will only do it in person in ATHENS.
I'm not a tout, I just want to get my money back, tickets, flight and hotel and this is not over 1500€, so if you know anyone interested please let me know
