3-0 to Milan, manure are dead and buried in the CL. We will face Milan again in the final. Kaka has been on fire in the CL this season and one we need to watch.

It's brilliant when they make the same announcement every week: 'in the interest of your fellow fans will all fans situated in the KOP please remain seated' - even when they know it's not going to happen!

"its particularly unfair on small children who cannot see the game"

Bollox

On the subject of PA announcements at Anfield, would someone care to explain "Operation Anfield Exercise" to me.  I'm just a poor OOTer, after all, and have no sense of such things?  ???  :D

Bob,

Its a safety procedure thing that they have to check out at a match day.

Sure, but what goes on during that period, mate?  Surely, it has no bearing on the fans watching the game but are the stewards put through their paces or something?  ???

bob, as an ex policeman who did actually work the games at both anfireld and goodison i can tell you what happens, its an exersize to test the ability of both stewards and police, the exersize is simple, its to open all the exits at anfield within a certain time should the ground need to be evacuated. it cant be done via radio as all police are equiped obviously but the stewards are not, so its easier to do the announcement so all can hear it.
