Cesc Fabregas was commenting the game for the Spaniards.

Fabregas admitted he was impressed for being so respected being 3m away of an archenemy crowd.

Fabregas admitted LFC crowd is the best (apart from Arsenal, he said that diplomatically)

Fabregas admitted he preffered LFC to go through, due to history, and friends in the team.

Fabregas foresaw that Reina was better than Czech in the Penalties. He said "I have to suffer Reina in the Spanish squad training sessions, and he's bloody good in stopping penalties. Bloody good".

Fabregas didn't understand how Alonso wasn't playing, but acknowledged Mascherano's good game.

Do we want him? His a very good player, but who would we sit down to play him? we've got Gerrard and Alonso and Mascherano!!

On a side note, Sinama Pongolle invited to half Recreativo de Huelva squad to the game.

tommy smith:
For Benitez, this was another triumph for tactical brilliance. He sprang a surprise by leaving out Xabi Alonso until late in the game, but there is no doubt he is the best European manager I have seen in the modern era.

He understands the European game inside out and to take the team to a second final within two years is magnificent. A top four finish will do this year, but the fans will be looking for a big improvement in the Premier next time around.

What of Mourinho? Well, he’s just an idiot.

Who was in the square by the courts?

My brothers were both on Sky Sports News clear as day yesterday at that square on James Street.

I went straight home after work at 5pm yesterday and was in the boozer for 6pm with a table in prime view of the big screen.  I would have went to that square but I parked my car illegally yesterday in a car park without paying and they're being arsey with me so I had to go and get it and take it home.

No mate, I couldn't have gone there anyway, I wear a suit for work and I weren't going round there dressed like that.  Would have felt a knobhead and would have looked well out of place.  I look like my two brothers quite a lot.  We're quite alike.  A couple of lads on here know our Dave I think.  And we don't look like Sid James!!!! :D

My plan was to go straight the Jacaranda and get twatted on £1.00 bottles of Stella, then watch it in Lloyds Bar or Walkabout, or First national, Slaughter House etc... I weren't bothered, I'll fucking drink anywhere... but I had to get my car.  Couldn't have left it where it was, it would have got clamped or something.  So I went the boozer by mine with the lads and it was fucking well worth it after all.  Of course I drove up the boozer last night again and had to go and get my car from there about an hour ago.

I'm going out again later I think to watch Milan stuff United.  Trying to blag that girl again as well if I'm being honest.  But I'm going to get a Chicken Jalfrezi with poppadoms and naan bread in a minute.  Everything waits for food.  I'm starving.

It's brilliant when they make the same announcement every week: 'in the interest of your fellow fans will all fans situated in the KOP please remain seated' - even when they know it's not going to happen!
