How far away is Zante to greece, supposedly you can get a bus/ferry from Zante to Athens for around £20 and its 6 hours.

Would this be suitable if I arrived in Zante on 21/05/07.

BTW Ace Ventura send me your phone number.

Greece was one of the early civilizations in Europe.

Culturally more advanced than the Romans, they were invaded by them but they managed to influence a lot the Romans in their culture and Gods. Most Roman gods are "copied" from the Greek culture and Romanised.

I don't know much more about Greece. :D

They eat lots of feta cheese and salad!

Serve food lukewarm!

Are beside Albania!

Have a very good beer called Mythos that tastes like youur local lager but blows your boots off twice as hard...kinda like Stella but better!

Is a very nice country..and ya can get mopeds for a fiver a day!

You dont have to wear a helmet but you should really because great driver as you are the locals think nothing of driving over a tourist and chucking them to the sea!

A great team called LFC will be there and lift a 6th cup!

zante (or zakynthos to give it its full name) is just off the west coast of greece, plenty of ferries every day doing a short trip to the mainland. from there it's a coach/bus to athens which probably takes ages.

laganas beach on zante's south west coast is home to the rare loggerhead turtles which are a protected species and lay their eggs on the beach at night when it is a full moon. much of the island was destroyed in the 1950's by a powerful eathquake and as such not many old architecture remains, although zante town remains a nice place

"smugglers cove" on the island's north coast is a familiar sight to many, having adorned the front of many a travel brochure with it's stunning view of jagged cliffs dropping down to a white pebbled beach in the bay which is only accessible by boat, on the beach is a wreck of a small freight ship

there is also a remote mountain between argassi and kalamaki, on top of which a certain mr woollyback wrote LFC in massive stones in 1996. in 2000 it was still there, respendant in all its glory, i bet it still is now  :buttrock

They don't get along well with Turkey, due to Cyprus.

80% of their surnames end in akis. Like Alonsakis, Gerrardakis, and Carraghakis.

the other 20 % ends is oulos, like Rafapoulos, or Aggerpoulos.

Thats wrong...you left no percentage for migrants.

Some Greeks are called Smith and Ruiz...etc

Not all Greeks are Greek as in not all Spaniards are Spanish

I would say 80%-16%...with 4 being imports with a Greek passport!

I try to highlight what i mean by stating this very spanish address in the basque territory to follow!

You're right :)

I was joking about my ignorance about Greece, which is based on stereotypes.
