Mascherano's getting stuck in, but that mistake is one of a few tonight. His short passing game looks a bit f*cked at the minute.

What a save of Reina. Mascherano, who's doing a good game, failed a pass that he shouldn't. Then Finnan put Drogba in correct position , and he had a glorious chance.

He needs to come off. HIs short passing is making us look shakey at the back. Alonso!

Yes Mascha failed a few passes, but is doing an enormous job and making Gerrard more free. No come off, in my view.

We'll use Alonso in the second half if we need to hold the ball. Now we need the second.
