Chelsea 4 times on the X-Box last night and they turned us over with ease 3 times.  Might be a bad sign or it might be the fact that I'm rubbish! :D   If, however, Bellamy runs the right channel in the 2nd minute and crosses for Kuyt to head home tonight we'll go on to win it 4-1: my X-Box portended it!

BTW, I wonder if they're as nervous on the Chelsea message boards?  Actually, those dandified glory hunters probably don't even know there's a game:

Tristan: "Do our gents play in the Champions League tonight or on the morrow?"

Sebastian: "Who can say, old chap?  This football lark is so taxing to follow.  I wish father hadn't put some of my trust fund into season tickets.  It'll make a man of me, he said, but the stadium is too noisy and they don't serve a proper claret in the VIP section."

Tristan: "And what on earth were we to do with those hideous blue and white kerchiefs that they passed around last week?  Swing them about in the air?  The very idea is so debasing!  And, to think we were actually expected to sing to the players throughout the match.  I refused to, you know, as did all of the lads from the country club.  I mean honestly, the players are supposed to entertain us not have us bellow at them lack a pack of braying a.sses.  What would my esteemed colleagues in the academy choral ensemble think if they heard me squandering my sonorous mezzo-soprano on off-colour football songs?"

Sebastian: "Truthfully, I'm glad  this team is declining.  I'm quite ready for a new hobby.  Fancy a sniff round the polo match this weekend?"

:D

next time, be chelsea on the xbox, then we will win bob  :D

The thought had crossed my mind, mate, but there's no "dive" button so it wouldn't feel realistic, you know?  ???  :D

They say that John Terry is still in counselling from the effects of the last time these two clubs played a European Cup Semi Final at Anfield in 2005. If he is anything like his manager "Moaning Maureen" he is no doubt dining out on the goal that apparrently never was whilst conveniently forgetting that had the goal not been given Cech would have been sent off and Liverpool awarded a penalty.

There is nothing quite as sad in football as a distraught John Terry bawling his head off after losing a crucial game...................... honest !  John reckons he and his players won't be intimidated by the atmosphere at Anfield for the second leg and finishes by saying "like the last time" ! Looks like the counselling is working then John ! :D

A banner has already been produced for the Anfield leg whish simply reads "Remember Us ?"  As per usual with all the best banners it says it all really.

Make no mistake though, the 2007 European cup Semi Final is going to be a tremendous battle of wills between these two teams and whichever team wins it will have known he will has been in one of their greatest tests.

Rememnber us John ?

Is it the fact that the possiblilty of the Mancs in the final has but a dampner on the whole thing  :(
Just feels so strange dont think Ive ever felt this way before.

Personally I feel, as I mentioned in another thread, it felt better in '05 cos it was unchartered territory for a lot of Liverpool fans. I started supporting Liverpool in the late 80's and can just remember the last couple of league triumphs, but until Istanbul I'd never seen us win the European Cup. Having now reached that holy grail, I have to admit the competition has lost a bit of it's shine for me.

I've got the misfortune of having a couple of cousins who are mancs, I remember when Manure first started winning things they'd be jumping up & down all over the place, but the more they won the less excited they got. Obviously familiarity takes some of the shine off success.

What makes me laugh is that Benitez criticises Mourinho for tinkering, yet here we have a man who played a different team about 100 times in a row - tactics which have seen his team finish miles behind the top 2 for 3 seasons.

Pot.  Kettle.  Black.  Bigtime.  Face.  Egg.  On.

More egg on face after tonight.

So who are PSV playing tonight again? ???

Here's it for you real plain:

Had Rafa spent the same amount of money as that whining bag of sh*t, we'd be winning every competition we entered with ease.

Make no mistake about it - that we're in the Champions' League Semi is nothing short of miraculous, and one man - Rafa Benitez - is to thank for that.

No f*cker else, you deluded c*nt.

Its different becasue even if we get past Chelsea I dont think we could do Utd (assuming they go through).

They are on form and quite frankley our defence is :censored: at times.

Its not that we arnt backing the team but this is going to be a whole lot tougher than 2005.

Milan will do the mancs tonight .... of that I am sure
