Rooney?

The problem I have with him is his satisfaction of playing for supporters, who to a man despise everything about scousers, and week in, week out glorify the death of Liverpool supporters and  Liverpool people.

If it was just Liverpool FC they targetted fair enough, but its everyone and everything about scousers they hate. I know I couldn't play for a bunch of supporters who slagged my home city and people off.

But then again I suppose it's all about money these days. Sod tradition and respect.

Dawson that just goes to show the difference between someone who supports the club from afar, apologies to anyone who supports the club from a different city-country that was equally disgusted in Rooney btw.

What he did was bang out of order and WAS disprespectful to the Everton fans and the memory of Alan Ball.
Antagonising the people of his own city on such an emotional day for many shows just how little class the lad has.
Celebrating at Anfield for a so-called true blue is to be expected but the kissing of the badge against his old team was really a massive sign of a big time charlie thats f'cked off his roots.
I hope he gets his head kicked in if/when he returns to Liverpool.

I fucking hate Everton, but I agree with the sentiment of this thread.  The disloyalty is absolutely shocking.  Rooney is a fucking dog, even if it is those Bitter Bastards that it's directed towards.

In fact while I'm on the subject, Alan Smith's a fucking prick as well.  And I HATE Leeds.

You have to see it from a certain perspective though.  I can always remember lifelong Newcastle fan Alan Shearer scoring for Blackburn against Newcastle for instance, and not giving a fuck, celebrating in his usual manner, but there was something dignified about Shearer.  You've seen a million players scoring against their former clubs, or boyhood clubs, but the way Rooney behaves just leaves a bad taste.

And it gives Scousers a bad name.  It's easy to say from where I'm sat, a Liverpool supporting Scouser, because it's never ever going to be put to the test, my dreams of playing for Liverpool have long died as have everyone's on here I'm sure (except Stu I reckon, and obviously with that toned physique, Leon...) but all the money and trophies in the world would not make me sign for Manchester United if I was a professional footballer, because simply put, I couldn't look at myself in the mirror afterwards.  And I mean that.

Last point, once again, Rooney is a fucking dog.

It's like gerrard, when he said in that documentary - even if I win one Championship with LFC it would mean more to the people I live with etc than more medals at some other club - nothing like real love and passion for your club and respect for the people and area

Mind u lets face it Rooney weren't gonna win much at Everton, while Stevie's position is a 'bit' different :D

Again, how was what he did disrespectful to alan ball? And how does me living in london mean that what i saw on the tv was different to what you saw? He got abuse all game, he scored, he celebrated.. i really still dont see the problem.

not antagonising when its a real important match. Fukk em, dont like neverton fans, couldnt care less if there feelings get hurt.

you cant call somenoe a fat whatever, call there bird a slag and mum a whore all day then cry when he gives some back.

this is where the term 'get a clue' comes into play
