Bellamy to leave at the end of season - Told the bbc today

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

90% always is media BS anyway. He's probably as happy with it being broadcast as big sam is with lawrenson for more or less confirming he's off in the summer just cos the papers said so!

At half time in the CL semi the panel where convinced he was leaving at the end of the season, and I found it strange that they where speaking like it was a given and we hadent heard anything.

Ciggy, never thought of that. Couple it with the sudden appearance of stories that blackburn will gladly have him back and the 90% BS of the media seems to drop to 50% and the ever powerful remainder 10% of truth comes to the fore.

In all honesty after the golf club incident and probably even before then alot of people's money would've been on Bellamy being the one to be sold in the summer to accomodate a new top quality striker that we are all expecting. I can't see this changing anything with the Fowler situation as I fully expect two of the strikers at the club currently (not including those on loan) to leave in the summer. We've got Voronin coming in and probably the much anticipated big striker whoever that is.

Rumours and counter rumours, gotta love this game we call football!

From the club website:

"Craig Bellamy tonight rubbished suggestions he has no working relationship with Rafael Benitez, branding the story "complete garbage."
Said Bellamy: "A journalist working for BBC Radio Wales has told people I have problems with Rafa and haven't even got a working relationship with him. That's complete garbage.

"I have gone on record recently and I will say it again now that I have learnt more from Rafael Benitez than any other coach I have worked with.

"I am a much better player for the time I've spent working with him and if I do go on to manage at some point in the future he's the model I'll use in my career. I can't make my respect for him any clearer than that.

"I am even more disappointed that we are approaching a massive game on Tuesday against Chelsea and I am having to waste time responding to this nonsense." "

Couldn't he have waited until after the CL game against Chelsea? I think he's done this on purpose just to cause as much disruption as he can because he is in a sulk that he isn't a 1st team striker. I have absolutley no respect for him or Jerzy Dudek anymore, we are still in a very important competition and all they can think about is their own little agenda's. If next week we were out of the CL and they came out and said it then it wouldn't be as bad. But what if we need Bellamy on wednesday? or what if Reina gets injured would you be happy with either of them playing in the team after trying their hardest to disrupt the it? I deffinatley wouldn't. They shouldn't have done it now.
