                                 Reina

Finnan                     Carragher              Hyppia

Pennant               Mascherano               Bellamy

                           Gerrard

          Crouch          Fowler      Kuyt

S.hit or bust we need to score, if we are going to go out lets go out fighting

:D   F.uck it Sh.it or bust I'd be inclined to go for:

                                                            Reina

Pennant      Finnan   Carra    Gerrard   Alonso Agger Riise  Arbelao   Gonzalez
                                              Crouch

I just think playing this way "s.hit or bust" we can support Crouch more :D

It also would be perfect to play the offside trap !

Killing two birds with one stone.

He'll be central for the return leg with Pennant on the right. Mark my words on this!

Yes, they did whack a lot last night. Seems something they do a lot. With the money they spent, you'd think they'd play a decent passing game of football, but it seems they've taken a page from the Evertonian school of "Whack Attack" football when big Dunk played for them a while back.

Pennant          Gerrard         Mascherano            Riise

                     Crouch       Kuyt

I would start with that and see how we go, if we havent scored by halftime i would come out for the second half with this...

                                  Reina

Finnan                     Carragher              Hyppia

Pennant               Mascherano               Bellamy

                            Gerrard

           Crouch          Fowler      Kuyt

S.hit or bust we need to score, if we are going to go out lets go out fighting  :buttrock

2 problems with that...

1) Hyppia will be beaten by Drogba's pace all night
2) Rafa will never play 3 strikers...I fear I'll see him taking Crouch out and putting Bellarmy there instead

Well we need to win this game, beating Chelsea at Anfield is a completely possible result and at least our objective it clear.

                       Reina

Finnan    Carragher    Agger    Arbeloa

Pennant   Alonso      Gerrard    Riise

              Crouch       Kuyt

...and the "Special one" keep moaning about other team playing route 1 football...that his team has been hard done by not getting a penalty for an accident outside of the box. A guy under pressure and feeling that his team didn't do enough to win the tie yesterday.

A couple of their fans who seemed to have a bit of sense admitted they hadn't done enough & they were worried about the 2nd leg. They should be more bothered about this result than we are.

There was a good song going round the boozer last night, might be worth singing at the home leg. To the tune of Land of Hope & Glory, it goes:

We've done Barcelona
We've done PSV
Why get worried by Chelsea
We're Liverpool FC

Fair play to one of the bouncers last night though, especially considering he was a manc. There was some tw@t singing songs about Hillsborough at half time, and the bouncer gave us the nod that he'd be getting thrown out the back & gave us enough time to get round there. You can imagine the rest  :;):

Where did you watch it ?

Gerrard should start central. For this to happen, I can see a formation something like this:

                                           Reina

                    Finnan            Carragher            Aggar

    Pennant                 Sissoko         Alonso                    Riise

                                       Gerrard

                            Crouch
                                             Bellamy
