Gerrard

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby metalhead » Wed Apr 25, 2007 10:03 pm

He was immense today, the best liverpool player on the pitch! He gave a 110% and our most dangerous chance came from him.

He went quite in the last 20 minutes, but he played excellent, always winning the ball.

He and Alonso were outstanding today.

I dont think im exgerrating

He was okay but he was far from immense!

As for Alonso he huffed and puffed a bit but his end ball was bad

I hope you start the same thread after the next game and this time you are right

I think Gerrard did a very good job playing his role, He was the only one creating trouble for chelsea, especially with his running and movement.

Gerrard is a lot of things....most of em good things. He is Liverpool's best player. And he is also the skipper..

That last point is dubiously considered, when you witness the amount of time he seems to expend wasting energy on shrugging his shoulders, pointing his head down to the floor, seeming disinterested and generally having a nark on because he is played in a different position (ie one that is required by the managers asking) than the one he actually prefers. Even though he is both capable and indeed culpable whilst occupying it...

Hs attitude reeks at times. His industry/end product inspires many times...but boy oh boy the lad can sulk like a trooper. Especially it seems against these.

Still above all that, he along with Reina, Carragher and i suspect Pennant will be the difference next week.  They'll have to be.

I thought he was cr@p like the rest of them, not one of them stood out tonight, maybe Carra mouthing off that Dogbreath was diving, but the whole team was sh.ite tonight.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

Apart from Reina's saves and a few moments from Gerrard we were awful.
Has to be a much improved performance at Anfield, which am positive we can get.

Basically he was trying his best, giving everything he had, none of his teammates helped him though.

Did you see in the first half how he tackled? he tried to win the ball so many times, he was working very hard.

Ciggy I disagree, again he created the only dangerous chance of the game.
