Pfa awards - Gerrard our only nomination

The Premiership - General Discussion

Postby Lando_Griffin » Mon Apr 16, 2007 2:53 pm

We all know that winking Portugese bellend will win.

Lampard has been total W*nk all season.

I could score 20 goals in that side.

He's a fat bag of sh*t with a hard shot. That's IT.

Gerrard hasn't even been our best player, so I don't know why he's in there.  Fabregas hasn't been pulling up trees this year either.  Where's the less fashionable players who've been excellent this season?

Ronaldo will win.

Cech deserves a mention for me - the difference he makes to Chelsea is unbelievable. Best keeper in the world.

Vidic and Essien have also been strong.

Surprising to hear so many on here bemoaning the absence of Carragher on the list - not cos he doesn't deserve to be there, but I seem to remember Finnan's been getting a lot of votes as our best player this season.

Fact that there's only 2 real contenders proves how disappointing this season has been - a real two horse race.

Carra should have been voted over Gerrard, Gerrard hasnt done much to warrent being nominated this season.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

One time, I saw a man looking at me, yes, with his eyes. And then, he, he picked up a tube. And he looked, in the tube, and he made the moon big, inside the tube. The moon big inside a tube! Waahaha... Aaah. Telescope.

Ronaldo will win it for sure. For Man Utd hes been the difference when they come up against teams who put 10 men behind the ball, he can just take them apart single-handedly, we dont have anyone who can do that unfortunately.

Top 5 in the prem this year imo:

1. Ronaldo
2. Essien
3. Drogba
4. Scholes
5. Berbatov

Sorry I sound so anti-LFC its just the way I feel, we've had a dreadful season domestically.

Ronaldo has been sublime this year.  Micah Richards has been a revelation for man city and i think lennon will be vital to spurs in years to come.

i was thinking the same thing, he's been excellent this season, especially as Chelsea have been using him as a spare part, he must of played in about 4 or 5 positions this year

I actually thought Crouch would've been an outside shout, as he does seem to be popular with other players.

But yeah, Gerrard's inclusion does seem pretty token. For me, Carra's had a far better season overall.

Hate to say it, but if Ronaldo doesn't win it'll be a terrible decision. Great though Drogba's been, the little Portugeezer has risen above pretty much every one else on the world scene, and this in a season he started with everyone in the country hating his guts.

Little c*nt. :D

It has to go to Ronaldo. He's awesome this season. Have to admit it, whether you like him or not.

Ronaldo should be the player of the year. He's learned how to cross, and that's made a big difference. He thinks in terms of "the team" rather than "me showing my footwork and tricks". Sir Alex has also given Man U a sense of attacking aggression that I admire. Losing Horseface altered their gameplay. Instead of aiming everything at the lone striker, now they spread out the goals.
