we started with the Arsenal game and the next 4 were PSV (a), Reading, PSV (h), and Man City.  Once the boro game is locked, then you only need to subtract the Arsenal scores from the general standings to get a LAST 5 Form. I don't mind taking care of it for ya though.

But of course Joe! Any help is appreciated.

Good attitude yours, you entered the forum saying you were diehard LFC fan for some months :) , but you're willing to help and learn! Thank you Joe Terp.

He is. Joe is a credit to the forum.

its a pity others are so far up their own ar5es to follow the example.

What game were you watching?  ???

McDermott did far more for the cause than Clemence and Dalglish had a much better game than Cohen!  Did you even go the game?  :D

Sabre, can I start joining in on this now, or is it best I wait until next season?

And can I also be honest, I've not seen last night's goals yet?  So I'm not going to bother with last night's game.  I went to three boozers (one of them was John Bull's who posts on here, wasn't Hustler supposed to go there one time?) and none of them knew if they were showing the game or not so I just drove home and sat on here watching the updates in the Boro match thread.  I was getting texts off my mate though over the water.  Sissoko was supposed to have had a stinker.

Gerrard 3
Pennant 2
Mascherano 1

Bad Bob, I respect your "I want to be different" campaign, but putting the points in the right is too much :D (kidding)

Jonnymac: Don't ask (about my nights). :D

You kidding? this is open anytime mate!! you can post today, and don't post next week. It's open to everybody!

Well, at least you'll give points being honest. Some fans (not here) post what the commentator says! :)

I wouldn't say it otherwise.  I love Sissoko as a player for us, but since he came back from his injury he's not been himself.  He'll come good again though.  He's just lacking concentration and obviously confidence.

Those who say we should sell him as we now have Mascherano are speaking too soon methinks... they're both fine players to havein the squad.  Makes no sense to sell either as they're both relatively kids.  They're both only about 21-22 aren't they?

This was a decent and fun idea, Sabre. In the end, though, it's not a very accurate reflection of player performance. As 20 people could vote one game, 40 the next..

Would have been cooler if there was a locked amount of people. I doubt people want to commit to posting every week, though, so whatever. Just saying, would have been better that way..

Yes, I made that mistake, the Specialist.

But fortunately my fellow posters Joe and Bigmick corrected it. And now, the points are given not as a total amount of points, but the proportional part.

Thus, if the total points given in a week is of 145 points, and Crouch gets 45 of them, the REAL points he'll receive will be (45*100)/145

This way, it doesn't matter wether 56 people vote or just 7, as the players will receive their proportional share of points. Each week 100 points (+-1) are shared.

What are the scores based on?

I mean how exactly are they meant to be awarded...through TV coverage, Heresay, through the Press or attending the actual game.

3 Pennant - a couple of really nice runs to throw the defender and got into some good positions. one move with Arbeloa near the end comes to mind, brilliant stuff!

2 kuyt - played the striker role to a T. scored twice  :eyebrow

1 Hyypia - didnt give the attack of Wigan anything to work with at all. long balls!

The thread is meant so that we give our opinions as we usually do in these boards, but with an attempt to quantify those opinions.

I'm interested on how you view each game. Which is the best man of the game, the second, and the third. So that the sum of all opinions can give a faithful picture of what these boards think about a game and who were better. The general standings in the other hand should give a picture of how players are doing in time.

I mean a picture, I know the goalies don't get enough credit from the fans of a team that is attacking all the time (in relegation club's forums goalies are the ones with most points), it won't be accurate, but it may be orientating.

In Anfield you grasp a lot of more details of the game, but we TV watchers are also allowed to give our opinion. The press opinion SHOULD be irrelevant, although I guess some people are influenced by it.
