Now a lot has been made about the possibility of signing another Centre Back this summer. If Hyypia is happy to stay as back up with limited chances next season, then that won't be too bad. But if he wants to move on for more football, or if indeed Rafa has noticed that his game is not quite top notch any more, then I feel we need another CB since there's too much of a gap between Carra/Agger and the youngsters we've got in the ranks. Ok Arbeloa can fill in there but it looks as if he'll be mainly used in the full back positions.

If we will be playing predominantly 4-4-2 (likely) then signing another top class CB (Luisao, Lucio, Milito, Alex, King, Woodgate - whoever you care to name) might be unwise. Rotating midfielders and strikers in one thing, but I feel you need a settled central defensive pairing. Now Stu is of the opinion that Agger just isn't up to it which is a bit harsh but I know where h'es coming from. I like Agger a lot but it is still early days as far as he's concerned. I think people forget that he's only 21 or something like that.

So, the top two spots are taken, and we have Paletta/Hobbs and millions of other youngsters. If Sami is happy to stay and if Rafa thinks he can still do the job, then we're sorted. If Sami is off, then we need a back up, and someone like Distin would be OK for that role.

All the talk up here is that Boro are pretty much resigned to losing Woodgate and there's even talk that he's already signed a pre-contract agreement with Manure. I hope to God this aint true because the guy's class. He's also only missed about 4 games for Boro this season so if he's available for a recent price, we should move heaven and earth to get him.

I can't help but wonder how Tevez and Bellamy would work together. Completely flies in the face of what Rafa seems to like in his strikers, but I can definitely see a partnership there.

Personally, I think the money needed to bring Eto'o or Villa over would blow almost all of the mooted £40m budget, so I can't help but wonder if we'll see a Prem striker come in, and then the bulk of the spending will go on the wings. Man U this season have been a prime example of a side where the attacking play in general has been so good that goals have come from everywhere, with Giggs or Ronaldo having at least one touch in every build up.

This season we've had 4 players score 5 or more league goals, and three of those are strikers. Man U have 6 players that have scored 5 or more. Ji Sung Park (14 appearances, 6 as sub) has the same number of league goals - 5 - as Gerrard (33 appearances, NONE as sub) this season, which is frankly astonishing.

In all competitions, Man U have scored 34 goals from the wings alone. Adding up goals by every player that's played on our wings all season, that's still at least 10 more than us, and that's counting Gerrard and Riise as having played on the flanks all season.

If Alonso, Gerrard and Mascherano had better players to find out wide, and perhaps a visionary striker like Tevez up ahead, we'd score absolutely hatfuls even without a blockbusting striker coming in. Unless Rafa is stupid enough to think that Gonzalez is going to turn into Ronaldo over the summer, I think he'll have a few names in mind for the left in particular.

Knowing that Rafa prefers workrate to out and out goal scorer i think theres every chance Tevez could be an LFC player next season. Im watching the Chelsea V West Ham game and he is ALL over the place, helping out in midfield and in deffence and trying to thread little passes through

Great finish for his goal and never stopped working for the team......are you watching Rafa ?

I was one of his few doubters until yesterday when he mesmerised Chelsea defence. One thing that would make Tevez succeed is his pace and skill. Those are basic attributes of a forward for success in the EPL. Infact entertaining teams play games at high tempo and have players to do it. The reason we look so predictable and boring sometimes is the tempo at which we play the game.Too slow.

Tevez would be happy at Anfield.

Tevez if he was English they would be saying he was as good as Rooney(They being the media) We should do all we can to get him in he is gona be even beeter next season. Just inagine how good he could be with good players arond him should not be too hard with Rafa having the contacts with the company that owns him.

tevez would be a great siging thats not hard to see

i would sign tevez and villa to go with kuyt and crouch and i would sell fowler an bellamy

i would sign alves and lahm for fullbacks and ribery as he can play on either wing and is world class

i would keep everywhere else as it is

then i would win the treble and be regarded as the best manager ever :p

One time, I saw a man looking at me, yes, with his eyes. And then, he, he picked up a tube. And he looked, in the tube, and he made the moon big, inside the tube. The moon big inside a tube! Waahaha... Aaah. Telescope.
