Strange signing. ???

Well if there is much of a transfer fund and we stick with 2-3 of the current strikers then we're in for another season of the same. If Crouch contiunes his scoring form for the rest of the season he may make a case for staying but frankly his overall record is decidedly average. Fowler could score a hat-trick a game and not get a chance, Bellamy is a major disappointment and we simply can't afford to have Kuyt and another low scoring striker in the team.

Voronin is an odd signing, I wonder if Rafa would have signed him had the decision been made this coming summer.

I wonder how much Tevez would cost, there's been rumours linking him to Anfield but then there often are with any tenuous link - here it is Mascherano. I fear if we retain more than just Kuyt and maybe Fowler as a fifth striker for rotation/injury cover/cup games etc then we'll be looking at third again next season. Not only have we lost each and every league game away to the mancs, goners and Chel$ki under Rafa but also our scoring record is awful. I was comparing the Liverpool records of Houllier, Evans and Rafa last night and Rafa had the best (league) record in terms of defence and the worst in terms of goals.

Knowing what we do does a striker list of Bellamy, Crouch, Fowler, Kuyt, Baros, Pongolle, Mellor, Cisse and Morientes inspire you with confidence? Our defence is ok, midfield reasonable but our strikers let us down. We lose too many games to nil, even when the mancs lose they often score. And we've lost 28 league games in 108

He has a good build for british football so is strong on the ball and will definitely be a great buy if we can get him for a reasonable price!!

I like Tevez but once again a player has a few good games, gets some good press and the bandwagon starts rolling again.

Ya at the begging of the season he was't geting a game it is only now that he is haven a run in the side and he is starting to show his class by next season he will be perfect for us not as a out and out goal scorer but more in a Berkamp role just got to get that 20 goal a season striker arond him

Cisse has been getting boo'd by the Marsaille fans after only scoring 4 in 14 matches, I watch Voronin against Osasuna in the UEFA cup and to be honest he looks very lively, he made some good runs and played some good passes, I don't think he'll struggle settling into the Prem but I doubt he'll score more than 10 goals next season.

I love seeing Kuyt play..

He works really hard, is enthusiastic...and I thought partnered well with Crouch, who seems to be coming into his own of late...
what with his hat-trick an' all - which hopfully isn't a one off.

Hopefully, things will come good for Kuyt and he will get the goals for us...If not it certainly won't be for lack of trying...

But I feel he fully compensates as he is a generous and unselfish player and certainly an asset to the team..

dont know why people are questioning him, he is a gifted player who works for the team. we are a stronger side with him in it. he will score for fun next season, this season has obviously been a toughy for him mentally and physically with his dad falling ill and being played an awful lot along with gerrard! he will be a very important player for us, he already is! his work man like attidude to everything he does is exceptional, he wont just bomb into the box he likes to create space where he can agive other players a chnace to come onto the ball. its brilliant to watch!

His regular heavy touches and stray passes aswell as his lack of ability to go and get chances is just as frustrating and annoying to watch. Not upto it.

Not a bad player, but not good enough to win you a league title. Unless the quality around him is untouchable.

I saw that game on holiday in tunisia.  Leverkusan were awful.  They got hammered.

Disappointed or not, will be better next season.

For the moment I want to congratulate Dirk with his new born son Roan.
Next one he will score is for him  :nod

i rate kuyt massively, but i think he has been used wrongly by rafa. it's detrimental to his game to have him dropping off all the time. look at his goal against chelsea off the shoulder of the defender. i know it's a while back since he scored, but he had good vision to score that goal, and he scored consistently in holland playing in that sort of position. i wonder if voronin has been signed to play the kind of role kuyt has been employed in this time round

One time, I saw a man looking at me, yes, with his eyes. And then, he, he picked up a tube. And he looked, in the tube, and he made the moon big, inside the tube. The moon big inside a tube! Waahaha... Aaah. Telescope.

I wasn't exactly sure what people meant by kuyt has a poor first touch until I watched the match today, some of them were terrible.

He barely ever makes runs into the six-yard box any more. That's how he got the majority of his goals earlier in the season, but for some reason he's changed his style.

It's not Rafa playing him too deep (not on Saturday anyway) -he was meant to be the lone striker who would arrive in the box to finish off moves. Instead, he constantly dropped deep without going forward again and offered NOTHING.
