I saw a different game. 75 decent minutes under a 4-4-1-1 and 15 awful last minutes with Gerrard in the right, which we didn't manage well and they created more troubles than in all the previous 75 mins.
I liked the keeper, the job done at midfield, with very few balls given away and good positioning and tackling, and I liked Gerrard a lot. In that position quality players dissapear for a lots of minutes and appear sometimes. He's more than a quality player and did almost everything well in a very difficult position in which you're very closely marked.
My points
3 Gerrard
2 Alonso (great defensive stuff , lacked his long passing to consider it a great game)
1 Mascherano (he makes things seem easy when playing the ball, and I like his defence)
