Back, wouldn't do that again in a hurry. :( :D

Eyebrows intact but a massive bruise on my left thigh after slipping on stairs on Friday night.

Beautiful spot but the manners of some of the locals left a lot to be desired. ??? We only ventured to a few pubs, and didn't get to stretch the legs by going for a walk in the surrounding mountains which are just amazing. I'll probably go up next year with the missus and have a proper hike in the hills.

Highly recommended for a weekend away so long as you don't mind the occasional obnoxious barman or Ra wannabe local type sitting in the corner giving you the shifty eye. :blues:

Some serious heads there, hard to know whether they were the usual small town hard men or the more dangerous types.  ??? Also, on the way up we saw a police checkpoint where the cops had petrol tubing out, I didn't think that green diesel smuggling was still going on.  :D

It's always seemed like a friendly place when I've been there.

I know that its really hit the hen/stag map over the past few years - especially since the 4 seasons opened. My wife was on a hen there recently and said you couldn't move for big parties of full drunk lads/ lasses.

I took my wife there for dinner about 10 years ago when we first meet and it was a quiet quaint Irish town. Thats changed a bit now - good for business I dont think its a change for the better.

With the wedding getting ever closer JBG, you might be interested in this observation on Wedding Photographers ,courtesy of C'unts Corner

"How F'ucking Much?

You're kidding me right? All you do is turn up to the wedding take a few snaps of the happy couple and charge me £3,000 for four hours work and 70 prints. That's £750 quid an hour or 42 quid a photo. Thieving b'astards.

F'uck you I'll buy a few disposable cameras, hand them out to the guests, and collect them at the end.

Theiving gypsy c'unts."
