If anyone is wanting to talk in private i suggest to do it by E mail if they have something to hide!

I cannot read P/Ms and I'm a mod.

No matter which internet service you use, e-mail, forums, whatever, there will be always an admin that actually has the power to create new accounts, and change passwords.

In the private message there's a remark about the privacy of the messages, if anyone is interested

Sabre, this is your private communications center. All of your messages sent and received are private. Not even the board administrator has direct access to your messages. Please respect the privacy of other members at all times.

I for one, can't say the PMs are being read. As a mod I can't do it.

There was a time i was having a bit of a row with a tos.ser called Liverpoolanytime!Remember him??

He sent me a rcaist p/m i did not complain about or highlight to the mods!

But the mods still used it to ban him!
Im not sure all can but some deffo can read p/ms! :alien:

Theres been far too much nonsense talked on here over the last few weeks. Some of it by people who should know better, but most of it by people who do know better. Moderators of this forum cannot read a PM unless it is posted to them. I can't read anybody else's Pm's. If anybody on here thinks I'm lying, fair play to 'em I don't give a feck. It can't be done simple as that.

As for this Sabre thing, we've already done that to death. The forum has been quite good these last couple of days because we've talked about football. I notice Peewee has decidd to come back which is good, I also note that he chosen to revisit the silliness of last week which is a shame.

Peewee I say this to you on the open forum, not by PM and these are my words entirely, not OK'd by any of the other mods, by LFC, Supersub or by anybody else. Please stop this nonsense or I will ban you myself. I don't think I have ever fallen out with a Liverpool supporter on this forum in three years or so and realise I am in severe danger of doing so with more than a few posters right now but I'm going to do it anyway. Please, let it lie and move on or don't use the forum at all.

Well said! Nothing against Peewee (in fact i supported his initial case of being de-moded before he went mental on Sabre) but let's not let this break into another lynching and enjoy talking about footie!

I'm sure the site owner can read PM's just as your work can read your emails- but i'm sure (as BigMick has stated) no normal mods can do this - so you can still slag them off there and leave this to friendly discussion!

Barry, you are a stain on this forum. If its not coming on here in the middle of the night making random racist remarks, its randomly abusing members for no reason.

If you are going to drag things up from the past then get your facts right, don't go making up facts to suit your own agenda.

To the best of my knowledge moderators DO NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO READ MEMBERS PMS. If they can do this now - which I doubt - they most certainly did not when I was a moderator. The only PMs of Karim's that I ever read were PMs FORWARDED to me by complaining members.

So it is simply not true that "it is well known that mods can read PMs" and your example of what happened with Karim is a load of :censored:

Yes he can. And so can other members, like Babu, S@int or Bamaga Man, who after reading all what Peewee is saying, are worried about the recent events of this site. They have the right to be worried, and to PM the mods about it. They have also the right to post their opinions. And they have a must aswell, to read and respect the rules of this site, that's asked for every user of this forum.

Peewee's signature was provocative towards Sabre. LFC probably changed it, he’s the administrator, he can do that. You’d have to ask him. Believe it or not, he doesn’t run everything by us, nor does he or should he have to. Anyway, why shouldn’t Sabre complain. If I was being insulted in someones signature, I wouldn’t just get it changed by LFC, I’d ban the fucker.

I'll be honest, I have signatures switched off so I can't even see them, but I did see Peewee’s at some point last week, and I admit, I complained about the signature. I wanted it removed. Why should Sabre be the only one who wasn’t happy with it?

Peewee as much as he thinks he runs this place, and can do and say what he wants, can’t. There are rules to be followed.

I understand the signature was along the lines of calling Sabre a twat and the now familiar cries of lack of explanation of why he was removed as a mod. But I support the decision to remove the signature and Peewee as a moderator. Keep to the rules and there’s not a problem.

Here’s a quick explanation anyway. We hold our hands up and admit WE MADE A MISTAKE. A HUMAN ERROR. WE SHOULDN’T HAVE APPOINTED HIM IN THE FIRST PLACE. So we removed him. Considering his consequent behaviour, we made the right decision removing him.

There's your answer. Satisfied?

Thought Peewee was getting off anyway. If he’s just going to log on to insult and provoke Sabre with every post, like the way he used to with Zarababe, there’s no point having him around here and his account will be deleted.

Long time member and all that blah, blah, blah, and I’ve had some interesting chats with Peewee over PM about Thailand. He’s a knowledgeable guy with a good sense of humour but he appears to have lost the plot over the last couple of weeks over this moderator business. The respect between us both is there I hope, this is not me having a go and I’m not picking a fight but I will take the required action if necessary. I’m a fair person in real life and I feel a fair moderator on this website, I don’t like to fuck anyone over, no matter what the situation. I’ll help anyone out. But I’m no doormat and Peewee is pushing his luck with the moderators. Peewee needs to show some humility and respect towards other posters on this site. It’s not too difficult. Just because he has a forceful personality does not mean he can bully some people he has problems with on here. I know you’ve got plenty of friends on here mate, but it matters not one jot to me. If you need to be removed because you’re being obtuse, so be it.

Matter over now, the complaint about the signature being removed has been acknowledged. If you change it to something similar again, it will be changed again, and we’ll keep going round and round in circles if that’s the way you want it. Or you could go to the pub and not take this place so seriously as if your human rights have been breached.

I’m getting back to work. Real work. I’ve got a client meeting in an hour. Preparing my notes for that at the same time. Excuse the grammar of this post. I’m trying to do two things at once here.

Well said Tom. anybody can Pm one of their mates and say, "that bigmick fella, what a fecking c" and nobody is going to be in the least bit offended because nobody else is going to know.
That said, I deliberately went out on a limb tonight without consulting any other mods and without trying to resolve this by Pm because I expressly don't want any private misunderstandings. If people want to call me a fecking c on this one, do it here and do it now and not by PM.
The best possible conclusion is that people are man enough to put the thing behind them (that means Peewee who feels he's been mistreated, and sabre who's been the subject of unjustified abuse) and carry on posting about football which is after all why we come on here. If they can't, they're going to have to move on.
If part of the "getting over it" process involves calling somebody a fecking c first, then call me it here and now andthen get over yourself. If there is no getting over it, then clearly somebodies going to have to make a decision. That somebody today is me.

I stopped moderating for two reasons:

1. I was getting too busy in my real life job to give it the attention it needs and

2. This place is full of whinging f.uckers who blame all the f.ucking woes of this site on the moderators. There's always a fu.ckin soap opera and a f.uckin inquisition. You constantly have to explain your actions to half wits who are only here to stir the fu.ckin pot. :angry:

If people really cared about this site they'd try and work with the moderators and be constructive and iron out the problems rather than constantly sniping and bickering.

And peewee, get a flamin' life. Its only the freakin INTERNET.

I'm ready to move on. I'll focus especially on football, have much to learn about it and the incoming months with yet another semifinal is too important, so quite simply I'd like to talk about that only.

I'm also ready to forgive if apologises are presented. Not asking it, just saying I'm ready to forgive. It's just the internet.
