Hmmmm............... Maybe  :D

The Telegraph gave the MOMatch award to Momo and said we only won thanks to his accurate passing. My comment wasn't that bad  :D

Yet by now Liverpool were at last gaining some control, thanks to the accuracy and industry of Momo Sissoko and, after Ivar Ingimarsson had done well to block Steven Gerrard's shot eight yards out, Liverpool's winner came as Pennant cut inside. His cross to the far post reached Kuyt, whose close-range header punished able opponents.

Reading (4-4-2): Hahnemann; Gunnarsson, Ingimarsson, Duberry (Bikey h-t), Shorey; Oster (Lita 82), Sidwell, Harper, Hunt; Doyle, Kitson.
Subs: Federici (g), Long, Halford.
Goal: Gunnarsson 47
Booked: Hahnemann, Kitson.
Liverpool (4-4-2): Reina; Finnan, Hyypia, Carragher, Arbeloa; Gerrard, Sissoko, Mascherano, Gonzalez (Riise 79); Crouch (Pennant 65), Bellamy (Kuyt 50).
Subs: Dudek (g), Agger.
Goals: Arbeola 15, Kuyt 86
Booked: Sissoko.
Referee: P Walton (Northants).
Man of the match: Momo Sissoko (Liverpool)

I think Robbie should go this summer . this was his last hurrah ! .It's unfortunate that he wasn't given more playing time by Rafa but he's obviously not going to figure any higher next season than he has this. Sad to see a real legend just fading away .Give him a run out for our last home game and then let him walk away.

Zenden has been a decent stop gap , we got him on a free so no complaints there, if however we can get some money for him he certainly wouldn't be missed .

Kewell , the great player we almost had . Got so used to playing without him wouldn't bother me at all if he finally b'uggered off. Of course sods law would dictate that he moves elsewhere stays injury free for the rest of his career and starts to look like the Harry Kewell who played for Leeds  :D

Gonzalez, Pennant, have for me been disappointing and although I wouldn't be sorry to see them go would give them another season to see if they can step up their game

Hyppia , not getting any younger but as shown against Reading , still capable of coming into the side and doing a decent job .Worth another season.

As some have said , we have a pretty good squad , i don't think  a major clearout is required , with the addition of two or three top of the shop players (striker,LM, and RM ?) we should be in good shape to put in a serious challenge next season.

Robbie , Zenden and Kewell to go this summer.

My priority would be a out and out goalscorer, emotion wanted it to be Robbie but it didnt work out that way. Crouch Kuyt and Bellamy all work hard and are good players but we need a killer in front of goal, I would even now have someone who doesnt work that hard but puts the ball in the net regularly

Sell:

Anthony Le Tallec
Florent Sinama Pongolle
Djibril Cisse
Jerzy Dudek
Boudewijn Zenden
Robbie Fowler (since we have signed Andriy Voronin)

I think all of the above can leave without us having to make new signings.

Possibly sell:

- Jermaine Pennant (if we are to buy a quality right sided midfielder one will have to leave)

- Fabio Aurelio or John Arne Riise – We still don’t have any stability in the left back area, Riise is too often exposed and Aurelio, despite looking a good player has been injury prone through his career.

- Craig Bellamy or Peter Crouch – I still think he need a truly dynamic striker to take our attacking play to a new level, and one of these will have to be sacrificed if we bring that player in.

- Also I would like us to keep Kewell for the last year of his contract (just in case) and send Mark Gonzalez out on loan in the Premiership. This means we could bring in a quality left sided player to compete with Kewell next year and give Gonzalez the chance to impress us.

So in my view, it’s a case of trimming the remaining fat and then 3 or 4 in and 3 or 4 out. Just need to add some X factor to a very strong squad.

I forgot Cisse was still on our books  :D

I think Pennant has the ability to be a very good player for this club if he sorts his confidence out. His ability is not in question, his ability to believe in himself is.

He's had a good first season for me, he started badly but class always shines through.

That wasn't a bad answer, but not quite what I was looking for, I know who you are... you've been here before and it won't take long for it to show.

You also in the other thread stated how players better than Pennant or at least as good aren't upto it and are :censored: poor...

So you'd get rid of Luis Garcia and Hyypia?

Why might I add? And who would be your back up centre halfs? Palletta?

Could be time to buy another centre back with pace as well as all the other defensive attributes required. If Carragher gets injured god forbid, we're screwed unless Arbeloa can fill in. Paletta hasn't convinced me whatsoever and would rather bring in Michael Dawson.
