I'd lose them all as they are a serious drain on club funds with their ridiculous  wages.  The trouble is GH bought good players (Diouff and Cheryou are good players) and then played them out of position as their position was occupied by a player GH wasn't prepared to shift.

Biscan for sweeping the changing rooms out and taking out the rubbish, and Diouf for dishing out the mash and peas in the Melwood canteen.

Smicer too maybe, for serving rice pudding and fruit cocktail for afters, along with betty and barbara, when the players have had a good sessions training.

Im sure they'll all look good in an apron and little hat.

Chuckle

Thats a bit harsh fella.  Id seriously keep diao and traore just incase we get hit bye the plague this season.

Would have to be some plague to consider playing Diao :D The man's a liability bought on the back of one good tournament (WC 2002)although to be fair GH had signed the both (Diouff and Diao) BEFORE the World Cup in 2002 but should serve as a warning to anyone considering buying players who have perfored well at Euro 2004 ???

Cheyrou's all but gone to Marseilles, Babbel's put himself in the shop window, Smicer's maybe en route to Southampton...... It's like "buy ONE get ONE free" at the moment..........

If i had a choice it would be Traore, not cos he has much potential if any. Just think he is the lowest earner out of that bunch.

Dalglish, I believe that the 1.5 million offer for Smicer from the Saints is probably agreeable by Liverpool. The problem is that Smicer is on some 25,000 to 30,000 pounds a week and the Saints can't afford that and meybe a stumbling block to this transfer move. At 31, and with little options to attract a similar kind of wages anywhere due to his inconsistent performance over the past 2 years, there is a strong possibility that he will dig in and stay even if it means kicking his heels in the reserves.

Smicer is one of the most frustrating players for me as Houllier liked to play him so often at the start of last season yet he contributed very little. He is worse than Heskey, to me.

I would not keep any player on the poll. Get rid of all of them and we will not be worse off.

Most of these players are merely average and does not warrant to even be signed as squad players by LFC. However, the worst one is Diouf because given his exorbitant transfer cosr, he is abolutely rubbish.

Sure, he gave the tired French a torrid time at the 2002 World Cup but in games such as the World Cup, played in the summer months, opponents play at a slower tempo and you do get more time when on the ball compared to the Premiership. The only difference is that the opponents are mostly top class who has more skills and speed that they do not rush to you like in the English game.

He also did not score at all and Houllier did really make a serious misjudgement on his ability to adapt to the high tempo and high physical demands of the Premiership. Paying 10 million pounds for a nobody is really poor judgement.

strangely enough I don't think too many of these players will be going anywhere in the near future. We have got to trust Benetiz to sort the chaff out.  Don't be surprised if he goes and resurrects some of their careers!

OK Guys don't laugh (please) but I honestly think that Diao has the making of a top class midfielder ala Makalele. I just feel that he hasn't been given the opportunity and additional coaching to prove himself with us. The guy's hard as nails has a good degree of skill but was never given suffucient chance to settle in and display it. :)

By the way Benitez is keeping them all for pre-season so he will offload after that.

The mirror have reported that Benitez has identified 8 players including Hamann he believes have no future at the club .

It looks like cheyrou and diouf are just the start and I have total faith in Benitez to identify and get rid of these overpaid mediocre players. :D
Smith to Shankly:My thigh is a bit sore, but I think I could play.
Shankly to Fagan:Tell him,Joe.He has got no chance of playing.
Smith to Fagan:Tell him to sod off.It is not his leg,it's mine.
Shankly to Smith:Oh no son.You are wrong, son. It is not your leg.
It is Liverpool Football Club's leg.
