Does Eto really have the right mindset, attitude and passion to play for LFC!

Mindset yes, he's not one that chickens out in a big club. He has winning mentality
Passion, yes, definitely.
Attitude, No, see below.

Would he be happy at being just another player?

No, he needs to be important, but at the same time, he's a tough worker.

Would he be happy being rotated?

No. He warned to Rijkaard publicly he wouldn't want to be rotated.

I think no to all the above...therefore would he be good in our dressing room..good for team morale.
I doubt it and am starting to think we should let him 'flirt with us' all he wants...I think we should look elsewhere,i dont think Raffa will sign him anyway!

I think that Rafa knows he's not the easiest man to have on the dressroom, but I'm not so sure he wouldn't take that risk

Taking all this into consideration Sabre!
Do you think we should sign him....would he in your opinion be good for LFC,i dont mean just good when he plays, mean all round a good idea??

the guy's the best striker in the world imo. when i say striker i mean "out and out number 9". for all henry's brilliance, i don't really consider him an out and out striker.

the way i see it, one of ronaldihno or eto'o will leave barca in the summer, if not rijkaard aswell.

Barry those same questions were asked about Pennant and Bellamy. When it comes down to signing players with a perceived attitude I dont think it puts Rafa off.

Eto'os wife has been flirting with Manhattan.

First, it was innocent, but now it's getting hot and heavy!

True i suppose Bam but we are talking bigger bucks here for Eto!Maybe im wrong but i just dont like what i see of the guy regardless of his class i feel he will upset our club...Hes a Prima Dona.
There of course is always a risk when signing players of this stature and at the end of the day its up to Raffa...but something inside me is screaming..Dont sign Eto!

I really feel he has caused too much trouble at Barca but it is being kept under wraps so as not to decrease his value...its a formality he will leave,he knows it,Barca know it but why say its gonna happen when club, player and agent will loose out when the world know he is going to go! He has much more worth as a wanted Barca player(to the world) than one that is already leaving!

IN my opinion

Samuel Eto=NOT AN LFC PLAYER

I don't think he'll sign.

Too expensive and I have doubts about his attitude.

attitude or no.... he is quality !
he WILL improve the overall ability of our squad...
he WILL score lots of goals...will win us games
we need a quality striker who can finish and can actually control a ball and come up with a moment of brilliance and score a goal out of nowhere ! none of our strikers are good enough...
not many in the world better than eto' and if rafa turns the chance of signing him down because of his attitude he'd be one the dumbest managers ever !

cant understand how one would argue that having eto'o in ur team would be a bad thing ?! ddnt see his presence in barcelona affect their performances....on the contrary... they had a noticable dip in form when he was out injured... they need him and they know that... ronaldinho, as good as he is, cant do the job without a striker like eto'o in support ! riijkard knows it and so do ronaldinho and etoo !

i dont see eto'o leaving barcelona though... unless they sign henry ! read this article the other day that links henry to barcelona, madrid and milan... reminded me of the vieira transfer... said that wenger now thinks henry is past his best and is willing to sell him if the right offer comes in.... i dont think henry is past his best... he still is the best player in the world imo and was unlucky with injuries this season !

would be the biggest signing in liverpools recent history if it happens but rafa probably isnt willing to pay what etoo is worth !

Its a 20 million + gamble , as good as he is there is no guarantee that he will perform in the prem (Shevchenko). I guess the same could be said of almost any player we bring in bu i would go for a current prem striker Ashton, Defoe,Bent etc

A big part of Eto'o's so-called "attitude" may be because of the fact that Ronaldinho is such a favourite son of Rijkaard and Laporta that he is given rather a lot of leeway i.e. turning up late for training etc., if the Guardian is to be believed (I can't remember the name of the reporter). Eto'o is said to have such a winning mentality that he always gives his all in matches and in training too and feels that his contributions and efforts have been undervalued when compared to Ronaldinho. Also, his coach did him no favours by going public about his reluctance to play on as a sub for the last 5 minutes, when it was suggested that he and Rijkaard earlier agreed that Eto'o should be given a 20 minute playing time as he needed match sharpness after coming back from injury.

If this, as reported by the Guardian Unlimited sometime back, is true, I wouldn't mind having him at all.
