Have we signed Edgar Davids? It is already in the papers this morning. It would be a fantastic signing and exactly the kind of player we need.

come on stu,give the manager your full and total support,in anything and everthing he says or does...you know,the way only you alone gave to Mr Houllier,and looking at it now that includes the playing staff.

short memory hey!last season you spent most of time lambasting other members,fans,"out of towners" for not putting their full support behind Houllier.Funny how the players had as little faith in the man as most of the true red fans.You,being of the blinkered contingent,failed to see the ship was sinking faster than the titanic,but "the band played on".

Reminds me of Hamaan... a DEFENSIVE NEGATIVE MIDFIELD PLAYER, whos overated, and passes meaningless 12 foot passes for 90 minutes, usually back to Hypia and Henchoz.

Davids was reported to have said "there are two english clubs interested in me, and I will be making an announcement in the next few days"

You werent moaning when we signed Gary McCallister when he was about 36. Davids still has 2/3 good years left to offer, and would probably come at a reasonable price.

Davids is absolutely class player, but do we need him?
We do not need 2 Defensive midfielders, we need a creative midfielder to partner Steve Gerrard.

Supersub i still don't get you're point?

I disagreed with alot of things Houllier done but he had my support. Benitez has my support however he has to earn the same amount Houllier had.

And where have i questioned anything? He's done anything for me to question.

I was simply saying Banana is wrong, Davids isn't the SORT of player we need at all.

Please explain? Are you suggesting that square and backwards passes and keeping the ball aren't an important parts of he game?

Do you think its always possible to go fowards everytime you get the ball?

Its interesting how you don't rate the three most intelligent footballers in the squad and the ones with the best tactical sense. (Murphy, Hamann and Owen).

Would you rather see 60 yard passes?

Personally i wish the whole team had Hamanns ability to find a red shirt with short passes.

Davisd is a dream player and still one of the best midfielders in the world. He is a winner and a fighter. He can play defensive, offensive, everything. He made Barcelona look great again last year, and he has been Juventus best player for many years. To claim he is not good enough is silly. He is 5 times better most midfielders in Liverpool and a touch better than Gerrard. If McAllister was great for Liverpool, Davids will be sensational.

I would love to see Edgar davids at Anfield next season,It makes you wonder what players rick parry and rafa promised stevie g they,d try and get to make him stay,or have the deals already been done,Im really looking forward to the new season now

I really hope Davids doesn't come ... I think it's a step backwards .... the player doesn't interest me at all .... as someone previously said , I'd much rather take a punt on Rosicky (well actually Nedved , but that's dreaming)

Personally I don't think the Davids rumour has any substance.It's more likely a player and his agents trying to up his weekly extortion wage.
