I personally consider Man Utd as our greatest rival and I understand that regional differences apply. I would personally be happier beating Man Utd every season than Everton.

Thoughts?

manure for me , can't bring my self to pick either but they would be the one's i want to beat most

very close though as i drink in a boozer with quite a few bitters and i love giving them sh!t,(not a great season for that)

but when those play each other i am hoping for loads of injuries and a bitter win as them no marks don't matter

and fergie was quoted as saying lfc fans wanted them to win the league and not chavski, BOLL@CKs

I think all the "out of towners" - like myself will say Manure. The one game I am always sickened at losing.

Manc's for me.  Playing Everton is like picking on a little kid, they may get a shot in every once in a while, but you know, and they know, who the big boy is.

No contest for me as well!! When UTD beat us it hurts like hell and im in a bad mood for ages, for me they are our biggest rival and always will be.

I can understand the Scouse supporters saying Everton of course because they usually live alongside or work with Everton fans therefore there is a bigger local rivalry and a lot of banter flying around.

I think it comes down to the fact that Everton never win anything so supporters outside the City dont really see them as a threat or rival or even take them very seriously....we know as well as they do that they are a class below us and have been for years overall.

As for UTD they have had more domestic success lately and enjoy rubbing our noses in it.And another reason to hate them...GARY NEVILLE!

Gotta agree with everyone else. Man U everytime. When we play Everton you usually get fans of the 2 clubs walking to the game together, having a beer together, sometimes even sitting together at the match. Would that ever happen against Man U? I doubt it.

Sorry Scousers but it's Man U for me as well.  No such thing as a Bitter over here so I never get the "pleasure" of seeing their faces when we do them in the derbies.  There are, however, plenty of clueless, plastic Mancs who take the p!ss without even understanding what they are talking about.  Any time we get one over on that shower is just so sweet. :nod

I dunno what to pick but as niall said all the outsiders will pick man utd because they dont know of the rivalry inside the city and you people that live in Liverpool see every day.I know Liverpool ahve a huge rivalry with Everton but I don't HATE them as much as you may,but i hate man utd and its more of a hate bcause they are as good etc. and They beat us most of the time.

Man Utd definitely. Everton have come a bit closer recently since they've dragged their football (slightly) out of the gutter but for me it's the Salford sh*te every time. In fact most scousers I know would place them ahead of Everton too

It's the same for them - they'd rather beat us once than City 10 times

i dont see everton as a rival, so my answer has to be manure.

everton dont even come close to being a rival, they are just the neighbour that you pity until they say something stupid
