Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Liverpool may have a large Irish fanbase (they obviously have good taste!!!):p  But Liverpool is afterall an English club. I can't see the Irish getting offended by that. If I supported cork city and meeting Berty O'hearne was bla bla bla, I wouldnt be ar.sed personally! :D

Well done Stevie... :)

I think he does deserve it and even better that he belongs to us!
The publicity can't do us any harm either..

I do agree that other LFC players have also worked hard...but better to give one an MBE than none.

btw I am not patriotic and haven't got time for the royals really...

But I still feel pleased and proud for Stevie and for LFC.

Well they'll have to get over that. This is the UK after all, not Eire.

Exactly i was fuming when i read that as well!

If they dont like it they can go and support Finn Harps or Drogheda...no one asks anyone to support LFC!

Political veiws and football are 2 totally seperate issues and should NEVER be mixed!

I don't recall saying anything political, just stated that if Liverpool were made some kind of Royal club(which obviously wouldn't happen) it wouldn't go down too well with Irish supporters, which is true. So no need to be fuming.
