Ballack rumour dismissed by Rick Parry.

Aye, seems we were just a name to up the anty with Barcelona. I gather Benitez will go for a second holding/defense minded player instead of a Ballack type player. Must admit i like both of the Valencia lads, Albelda and Baraja. Both proven at the top level. I figure we will see an influx of Spanish players at the club which is fine by me, but i hope the manager buys proven quality instead of potential (ala Houllier)

(Answer to stappo). I don't think Baraja moves to Liverpool. Here, in Valencia, journalist said Baraja doesn't get on with Benítez.
