The Czech goalkeeper, Peter Cech has talked to the press about his move to Chelski, and mentioned that he would like to see Milan Baros play there with him as he has played with him for six years and thinks he is the best striker in the world.

Chill out, Chelski have not said a word on the proposal.

Petr Cech has started the rumour and there's nothing from Chelsea.

Their no.1 striking target is Drogba of Marseille (quality player who knocked us and Newcastle out of the UEFA last season) but Marseille are looking for £28mPLUS! Abramovich, Kenyon and Mourinho are apparently all extremely interested in signing the Ivory Coast powerhouse who emerged as a world star last season, but Marseille are holding firm (although will probably give in if enough money is put on the table).

If Chelsea cannot get Drogba then who knows what will happen, but I don't think there's much more in the story other than Cech praising Baros and saying it would be nice to have him at Chelsea.

Incidentally, I heard a rumour that Aston Villa are lining up a £3m bid for Baros......I almost fell off my chair laughing at that. Even at his low period out injured he was worth that, and now that he is top scorer in Euro 2004 we could expect funny money if we sought to sell him.

Lets face it, Milan has always looked outstanding in the National team BUT has never looked more than a great prospect for LFC. Maybe he can't play a SUPPORTING role ? . In the national side his final ball is usually a shot at goal ,with LFC it's usually seeking a pass after running himself into a defensive cul de sac.
I'm not questioning the lads ability only the method in which he is employed.
He needs to be used as the PRIMARY striker but the way things stand he comes behind Owen and Cisse (?) .
I hope we hold onto him, if only to to pressure our first choice strikers but unless he is given a run (6 games plus on the bounce) I fear we will never see if he really can do it in the premiership.

I think Baros is great, he will get better as time goes on. His biggest problem is tunnel vision and often run's himself into a dead end as woof woof said, he also has a bit of a harsh touch, he's very lumpy when running with the ball...in other word's, he's not smooth! If he get's coached by the right person he will provail.

The lad is learning fast, he's an incredible talent and will get better and better, give him a chance next season in an improved team and he'll be a contender for top scorer ion PL.

Yeah I heard that.  It's only Peter Cech looking for a bit of company at the lonely Bridge I think.

The way players are turning their back on Chelsea,it wouldn't surprise me if they do make an approach for Milan. They've just released Hasselbaink,so will be on the hunt for a new striker.

He needs someone to keep him company on the bench who speaks the same language.

Baros has categorically stated he wants to stay...Benitez is not likely to sell the tournment's top scorer.. and Parry has already said how excited the Club is about Baros' form and displays.. This is yet another codswallop story..please lets not indulge in near schizo-like speculation which dogged a certain SG rumour/fact etc on these pages???

Its only Cech saying that, and the papers made a big deal out of it.

I reckon Chelsea will break the bank to land Drogba.

In fairness Zarababe, as far as the Gerrard rumours went, the man himself confirmed that there were a degree of truth in them, so people shouldn't be too hard on those who were worried about the speculation last week.

As for Baros, I believe there is nothing at all in the story, other than the press taking Cech's words out of context. I read the article and it was primarily about Cech himself: all he said was that he thought Baros was a great player who he'd love to play with at club level.

YAAAAWWWWN!

Will the rumour mill ever stop!

why would baros go there? He's got even less chance of getting a game.

If someone comes up with a headline..." Chelsea bid for Biscan and Murphy" a mega 2 pound 50 Deal, I'll start believing you!

Får Baros chancen fra start i mere end et par kampe i træk, får han også sit helt store gennembrud for LFC. Derom er der ingen tvivl.

Nu skal jeg og Baros bare lige have overbevist Benitez om dette, så skulle den være i vinkel
