Javi alonso - + any other rumours?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I don't know either.  He is absolute world class and would be able to play in the centre or on the right.  trouble is he isn't the fastest player in the world.  On the other hand, like Kenny Daglish, he can lose his marker by decelerating.  His opponent flies by him like a cartoon.  That's the product of being exceedingly intelligent, clever and aware.  he sees passes in slow motion, he is simply wonderful.  Which is why I'd be in delerium if he came especially for only 6million.  To be fair I wouldn't exactly be heartbroken if Cheryou did leave.

I haven't heard the Ballack rumours but would be delighted if we signed. the guy has a great shot, great header is athletic and he is not afraid to tackle. I also feel Ballack would adapt to English football far more quickly than someone like Aimar who has been linked strongly with the club.

Juninho did it for a season. His 2nd spell didn't go so good and he has spent this 3rd spell injured so i am not convinced. I feel we need players who have a chance of adapting to English football quickly. Ideally that means players who are already proven in England. I worry that Aimar would struggle with the pace and power of English football. I wonder if the new manager is a Malbranque fan?

Kewell Aimar Gerrard Ballack

If I saw this midfield on the score sheet for a Liverpool game I'd come on the spot

I've also heard that Depor's Juan Carlos Valeron will be coming to Liverpool in a cash + player deal with Bruno Cheryou and £6m pounds heading the opposite way.

bear in mind these are only rumours but if either of those two come I'll be in delerium.

ballack was bought by munich from Leverkusen dim wit!!!

I would love to see both Lahm and Ballack in a Liverpool shirt next season, it would fill two of four position's that need strenghtened IMO. The other two spot's fall in centre back and right midfield, the CB position concerns me the most. What happened to Mexes? I thought he told us he was coming if we got CL football.

Totally concur St M, Lahm is a quality defender and not just in Portugal he’s been superb in the Bundesliga ,and Liverpool should also take a look at Stuttgarts Andreas Hinkel he too is comfortable on the ball and has a real awareness all great defenders possess

Well, some of you saying we should get rid of Didi Hamann but honestly, he is one of the most consistent LFC player over the last couple of years. How many times do you see him miss a tackle or pass. The club played much better after he came back from injury last season. To me, he is not flashy but very efficient. Maybe this is not good enough to some of you but I rather have consistency than only occasional flashes. I think we should upgrade our Right Midfield with someone with pace. That should provide more space for SG and Didi to pass up the middle.

Sorry, my bad.  I have a valid excuse though, my Soccer International Magazine has an article on him and it says he moved to bayern munich from borussia dortmund after the 2002 world cup.  I was just taking that rumour out of SI.
