Please give a cliche'd free answer, most people resort to petty arugment on reasoning a loathing of oasis.

Got nothing whatsoever to do with "reason" and there's no real point having an "argument" about musical tastes. Bottom line, Oasis (the band) is not my cup of tea. I think some of their stuff is okay but so much of it just grates, for me. Might be down to Liam's voice--like nails on a chalkboard to my ears.
That's not to deny that they had a significant influence on music--particularly British music--over the past decade and a bit but, fact is, I don't enjoy listening to their stuff.

I'm listening to The Killers quite a bit too much at the minute and I typed in "All These Things That I've Done" as the search parameter cause that's my favourite by them at the minute (Read My Mind is another belter...) and it's throwing out all kinds of songs that have the following:
"It features electric rock instrumentation, a subtle use of vocal harmony, a vocal-centric aesthetic, major key tonality and many other similarities..."
I'm gonna try and get a station that plays mellow stuff similar to Coldplay "Green Eyes".
All hail the computer geeks that made this site!!!
The Killers are.
Stone Roses, Oasis, The Smiths : all you'll ever need.
