I'm not having a go at you AB, but thats cr@p!!! My best mate is male and hes been my best mate for 4 years and nothing has happened between us and never will. Sometimes I go to his house on a Friday night and play Buzz, the sports quiz and if Liverpool are playing on a Sunday we watch it together. My other half and his girlfriend no what we are like! I cant understand why people think that a girl and fella cant be mates, without anything sexual happening.

That proves nothing. There's always an exception to the rule and the lad that you're friends with is probably 1 in a million.

Oh and Kazza1, your mate may had a thing for you in the past and never had the courage to act on it. Now he's probably moved on and realized it's too late.

Whatever it may be, he's probably had ''thoughts'' about you in more than friendly manner. He's a guy after all. I doubt that the first thing he thought of when he met you was:

"I want to be her friend for four years"

Got to agree with AB - there's no way he wants to be her friend. Men just do not work that way. Even poofs will consider nailing their female "friends".

Well if he did fancy me, he kept it very quiet. I've been in his house, with just him and me, loads of times and I've never felt uncomfortable around him. Ive never had the feeling that he fancied me either. I have quite a few male friends and I can honestly say, hand on heart that none of them feel that way about me (well except one, who has come right and told me what he would love to do). They look at me as "one of the lads" and even call me Dave. :laugh:

It looks like he is trying to steal your gal from right under your nose.....you and your mates should keep a very close eye on him!

But having said that....she shouldn't have been sitting on his knee....

It must have been difficult for you playing pool, and prob. feeling that you couldn't do anything...but I think you should have made a joke of it and pulled her off his lap!

Must admit though it doesn't look good esp. after what she posted on that web site..

Update, last night me girls best mate was talking to me on msn and me best mate cos he is also worried by the creeps tagging along with us couples etc...

She reckon he IS after my bird, but hes doing it in a very subtle way. For example, i couldnt sit down next to her in subway cos her mates were and i didnt wanna act a knobhead to em tellin em to move, she was saying on his bebo page (after he had asked "did you meet pete today" (its :censored:

peter you blert) ) that she did but she wanted to sit next to me but cudnt.

He replies something along the lines of omg why didnt he? with a shocked smiley face. Basically implying he would do differently....

So, my birds best mate reckons that he is trying to annoy me by keeping in touch with her, in the hope that i will react to him, as this will make my bird think im being ott and possessive, and so essentially playing straight into his hands so he can do the night in shining armour jig.

She reckons the best course of action is to talk to him on bebo/ in person casually "what u up 2" etc, and then say how much a great time we're having. She reckons this will frustrate him, cos hel realise his wind ups aint working and hel feck off.

Also, she says shes always talking about me and i have nothing to worry about on her part

So, im gonna act nicey nicey to the laddo, till he realises he cant make me bite or shake us.

Then 3 months down the line hes getting a size 9 gazelle up his ar*e :;):
