David trezuget ? - Do we need him

The one forward I REALLY want to see us going after this summer that could actually be available is ETO'O.  For me he is one of the most complete forwards around at the moment. He has pace, very good finisher and unusually for an attacking player at Barca he does track back (occasionally :D ).
Trezeguet 2 or 3 years ago I'd maybe have said yeah he's worth a punt but I just think that having spent a year playing 2nd division footie in Italy and only scoring 8 goals is piss poor for a supposed top class forward.
I just get the feeling that this could be a bit of a red herring from Rafa to throw the press and other managers off the scent of his real target. Whoever that is!

Rafa's real target is David Villa, of course.   :D

I agree with woof! that at 30, Trezeguet will struggle to adapt to the pace of the premiership. Look at Schevchenko as a prime example.

Eto'o does not have a spice boys attitude, his problems at Barca are with Frank Rijkaard, as Eto'o has a reputation for being very competitive and takes everything seriously, even in training. This is a contrast to Ronaldinho who is given some slack by Rijkaard.

If he becomes available, we should consider signing Eto'o, who is very quick, lethal and works his socks off for the team and is not just a predator in the box. In the game today against Atletico, he made one goal and scored 1 goal in the first half.
