LIVERPOOL VS SHEFFIELD UNITED

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Paul Merson described Gerrards goal as 'World Class', Fowler played the ball to Gerrard who flicked the ball round the defender and lashed it in with his right foot!  :bowdown

Are you using Internet Explorer? TVAnts won't work on Firefox, Sopcast will but only if you do a workaround, instructions are on the frontpage of StreamedSport

Eh?

Sorry , got carried away. :D

But I have a feeling we'll get a couple more before the final whistle.    :)

You may be right, Sheff Utd went damned close to a goal there though

great performance from the lads...also nice to see Dudek and Fowler get a good game under their belt.  Would have been sad if they left us with the memories of that Arsenal match as their last game.

Masher has had a solid second half, I am well pleased with his performance. Only disappointment has been Gonzo just not doing enough. Good win against a very hard working Sheff U.

Very happy with that result and performance, I can't really complain about anybody, a first for me ;-)
I'd still like to see a bit more from Gonzo though but he is improving and I reckon he'll be very good for the future as will Maschareno.

Good result, Riise continues his season where he left off.

Nice to see that Mascherano had a good debut today.

If Mascher can build on this performance its going to be some fight for the 2/3 centre midfield spots, especially after Momo's performance against Barca.  Mascher was caught in possession a few times but made some good tackles and kept everything ticking over in midfield nicely. Fowler in his prime would have had at least another couple today, I was hoping for a hatrick. Better performance by Pennant than I have seen before as well, worked hard and had a couple of good runs and decent chips into the area.

Woohoo!!!

Great result. Gerrard's goal was a beaut.... Robbie's penalties were never in doubt.... and best of all, Mascherano had a solid, solid game..
Here's hoping that we've found Didi's replacement.. :D

I'm off to get pi$$ed drunk.... see you later lads!!!!  :D

Well pleased with Mascherano and he's not yet at full match fitness.  He's gonna be a gem of a signing, I predict.

Stevie had a lovely game, despite the dodgy first penalty (but he made Bennett make a decision so fair play to him :D), and his goal was superb.

And, is there a better penalty taker than Robbie.  Cool as like for the first one, even with the delay for the Crouch injury.  Kenny guessed right and he still couldn't lay a glove on it.  As for the second, that little stutter step showed him all he needed about Kenny's intentions and he could just dink it into the net.  Sheer class.  Hope those aren't his last in a red shirt but I'll savour the memories if they are. :buttrock
