i love the reissued retro adidas shirt with candy and the old adidas trefoil on it, from the 1989-1991 seasons, they have just brought out and it looks class (i have the original and it still fits me so I am well delighted), might buy the heritage adidas tracksuit top tho (white top with the red and grey 3stripes across the chest...class stuff)
bad sign that the last time we won the league we were weraing what is now a "retro" shirt lol

Can you get this on the official site??

I seen one on ebay recently that was 'as new', thought it seemed a bit dodgy

no not on the LFC official site, Liverpool sell there own Liverpool merchandise (such as the 1984 retro tracksuit and the retro jerseys from the 1960, 70s and early 80s and the leisure wear) seperate to adidas so the sell only the minimum of the adidas stuff on the Liverpool site so people will buy the Liverpool stuff before the adidas stuff.
It is on sites such as subside sports that you will see the retro adidas stuff. The last few years adidas have been selling retro shirts and tracksuits of national teams and this is the first time they have reintroduced club merchandise. (the Liverpool adidas 1989-91 stuff is marketed under "heritage". The ebay stuff are a lot of asian knockoffs so check out subside sports website first.

much nicer, and much better quality.

Reebok ended up churning out shirts which basically had premier league stickers stuck on them!! :)

The Adidas gear just feels a lot sturdier and better quality

Does anyone know if the home kit is for just the 06/07 season or for the 07/08 season as well?

The situation with the Reebok kits was as follows....

Both kits were "valid" for two seasons. The home obviously stayed the same for those two seasons.

The away kit for one season then became the 3rd kit for the following year so Reekbok and LFC could get round it and therefore issue a new away kit every season.

That is the reason why we have a white kit every two years, they cannot have the same away colour two years in a row as it would therefore clash with the 3rd kit.

Dont know whether there is a similar thing with Adidas but I would imagine so. Based on that, next years away will PROBABLY be white and if we play against someone in red and white (if Sunderland get back up or Southampton) then we will wear the current yellow.

Hope that clears it up!

But then again, if the yellow is on sale for £20 then all the above is probably a load of :censored: sorry.

I quite like the idea that was mentioned earlier about alternating the release of new kits, a home kit one season and a new away kit the next season. This is how England kits are brought out, so each kit is used for two years. I always make an effort to get the new Liverpool home strip every two years, but i think its too expensive to get new away kits... To be honest the away kits are usually awful anyway, although the green and white European away kit looks classy.

The adidas strips are a huge improvement of the recent reebok efforts, too many sticker like emblems and logos that come off after a few washes, pretty ridiculous considering the money fans splash out on them.

the premier league are updating the squad numbers and the lettering and the sleeve patches for next year so be wary if uou are getting any of them on yer shirts.
