bad example... didnt the dude score 2 goals in the champions' league final prior to his departure?

Smicer did nothing of note at LFC. Scoring one goal from play doesn't make up for the fact that he offered us nothing. Had to go.

He scored 11 goals for us in 03/04. 7 which were in the Premiership and a lot of those goals helped us win games and qualify for the CL [you know the competition we won the next year].

Granted he only made 25 appearances the following year due to injury, he played a huge part to our success last year.

Sure it wasn't what he achieved when he first got here or at Leeds, but he was improving.

To compare him to Smicer imo is over the top. [Smicer in 4 seasons only scored 11 goals]

I think I must be the only person that thinks Kewell can come back and do a great job for us, even Benitez is starting to have doubts now.

Waste of money.

GEt rid of him whenever his contract is up and play somebody who might be able to play ten games in a row. When your body is as f**ked as Harry's must be, it is not going to get better. I also don't think his heart is in it.

great player at 100% but has tried to hard to carry injuries imo, anyone who says he lacks guts should pull a grion like i did playing 5 a side and then slaughter the lad

I have said before that i was not his biggest fan but the lad turned it around with a great season last term and i was gutted for him in the fa cup final

still alot better than what we have at the moment imo

Harry kewell is a vquality player. I've said it before in our champions league winning season the lad turned played brilliasntly against olympiakos and leverkusen. Destroyed the bitters last season and chelsea in the semi. Has been so unlucky with injuries.

I like to compare him with redknapp. Most on here and lfc fans worldwide would say redders was a very good player for us. Yet, most seem to think that harry has been a let down. Compare both, Unlucky with injuries, gifted and never been allowed to show true potential because of injuries.

The fact is we miss harry. Gonzales isn't and won't be the answer. Kewell gives us great balance and game intelligence.

I heard over the radio a couple of days ago in my parts of the world that Martin "we need to buy as many quality midfielders we can get our hands on" Jol is interested to bring our Harry to Spurs.

this man's been collecting big money for too long, bar a handful of games where he performed like he dserved evena  fraction of it.

You always support your own players, but in the desperation of the CL final i said 'don't come f**kin back Harry'. I felt he was getting out of the fire, and certainly hobbled off too soon and IMO too easily. In my view if he put as much effort into playing well for Liverpool as he did in sueing big ears lineker, we'd be doing well.

It amazes me how people were always willing to give Harry more and more time. the first season we all, rightly, said, 'well a bedding in period etc' but the longer it went on it became a joke- it took the guy something like 3 years to find a bit of form- and then he got injured (not his fault on the injury)

Liverpool took the cheap and indeed wrong option when the choices were Kewell or Duff back in 03 i believe.

i call him the donkey- the nost high profile and highest earning of our underperformers.

Mickey six cups lets get this straight you wanted duff well we would of had to break the bank to get him and imo is just as injury prone as harry. Kewell is a much better player when fit. Hurry back lad.

IMO Harry would've walked into the side about 3 months ago, now after the run we've had not so sure now? But having said that he will be a valuable squad player until he moves on even if the wages for him do seem inflated.

If he can get back to fitness then i would like to keep him, he was very good last season when we actually got him injury free and hes better than any other we have on the left side at the mo. Saying that we have good funds now with the Americans to we can improve areas greatly.
