That's another trick the feckers have, though:

its reported in different countries because other countries pick up the story from one source, a news agency. the story was probably tame when it was first written, and then like chinese whispers its embelished, bits are added, things are exagerated. come on guys we are talking about the press here.

i am amazed that some of you actually believe everything thats written.

there is not one named eyewitness to all this, kinda makes you think, well it makes me think

The thing is though, if it was only in the NOTW I wouldnt believe it but, 3 norweigens on RAWK had already said this had happened and it was on the national news in Norway yesterday.
Fowler and Dudek are going anyway, Fowler loves a p.issup its no secret, Pennant well nothing new here is there?
But Dudek? I just cant see him fighting with the bizzies.
And if Bellamy done that it wouldnt suprise anyone anyway, we knew him and Pennant where trouble when they came here.

If true Rafa wont need any excuses to get rid of them in the summer they havent exactly improved us anyway so its no loss.
Just cant believe the timing in all of this if its true.
I think the club should come out and say either its been all blown out of proportion or that the players involved will be dealt with accordingly.

The NOTW has obviously hyped the story up (they are after all owned by the S*n) but something obviously went on . It's now being commented upon by most TV news channels .

Hopefully if it's all b'*ll*c*ks the club will make some kind of statement and either deny or at least refute the scale of the incident.

yes mate, news channels will no pick the story up as its in print also, they will then run with the story as published.

obviously something has happened, but whether its to the extent as reported is debatable.

as for the norwegian angle, its because riise is norwegian, if it was a german player they would be reporting it etc, laying it on thick to defend their countryman.

seriously guys i think the words mountain and molehill should be used here.

2 players have a scrap is not really that newsworthy, player attacks other with golf club adds spice to the story, and lets throw in a few other players with a bad reputation to make it believable.

The club have said no comment and it will be dealt with internally.
If nothing happened why say that?
If this is true I cant feckin believe it just before our most important game of the season Liverpool always bring controvacy always in the headlines for the wrong reasons.

something obvioulsy has happened ciggy, but i dont think its to the extent the papers are making out. i think if that was the case then the club would comment, no doubt a comment will be made on monday when they fly out to spain, we will see riise and belamy joking together etc.

the fact it say riise defended himself should make you suspicious, we all know riise cant defend

Riise attacked by Bellamy

John Arne Riise was supposedly attacked with a golf club by his team-mate Craig Bellamy on the coast of Algarve this weekend.

Liverpool are knocked out of the FA cup and some players used the weekend for social activities and recreation during the very tough and hectic match schedule. But for John Arne Riise the short vacation on the Algarve coast was everything but nice.

Attacked with a golf club
According to TV2 Sport Riise was beaten with a golf club by his team-mate Craig Bellamy after a night out in Portugal.

The two players are supposed to have got into a brawl and Riise was hit numerous times at the hotel where the Liverpool stars stayed.

Bellamy is supposed to have kicked in the door to Riises hotel room and attacked the Norwegian with a golf club. Riise was hit numerous times, but is under the circumstances in good condition.

The left back is supposed to have gotten several bruises after the attack. Several British newspapers are running this story sunday morning.

Riise source confirms
News of The World are among the papers running the story, and TV2 Sport have had it confirmed from a source very close to John Arne Riise that the content is true.

TV2 Sport could not get in touch with John Arne Riises adviser Jan Kvalheim for a comment on the nasty incident.

Feckin hell , Voronin in Bellamy out ,that was quick Rafa lad, only joking kids.

Lets just see now , hmmmm Liverpool v Barca on Wednesday = Notw print utter tripe in there rag the Sunday before , now that sounds familiar.

Every time we've got a big match something gets printed to upset the applecart. There might have been a fight and there might have been an arguement and some of the players might have been abit tipsy.

Any footy player will tell you, arguements happen every day between players. I bet a penny to a pinch of salt this has been blown up by that rag of a paper just to stir the sh!te before a big game.

Lets just wait and see if the club comment ,and if they don't ,lets not worry about it and move on. Nothing is going to deflect us from knocking Barca out. NOTHING AND KNOWONE. :angry:

Yes im sure some of the print in the Sunday Sun are a bit exaggerated and maybe even lies.But at the end of the day our players have went to another country and made cu.nts outta themselves...its a disgrace!
These players are ambassadors when abroad and represent LFC a team respected throughout the world.
If Bellamy did attack Riise with a golfclub,he should be sacked immediately,never play for us again.I never liked him anyway personally plus he needs about 50 chances to find the net!

This could not have came at a worse time when the Gillet/Hicks deal is not signed...what must they think?Will they pull out?

On Wednesday night we have the biggest game for us since Istanbul in 2005,we didnt need this!And WTF are professional players doing getting into that state so close to such a massive game?Surely they should be doing everything to make sure they are in peak fitness.

Im sure we have not heard the total truth but something happened that should not have......This is a time when Benitez should be man enough to stand up and give a press conference and say exactly what did happen and exactly what parts of print were lies.

Im sure the NOTW are loving this after the truth campaign aimed at the Sun...we all know the NOTW is just the Sun dont we!
