haha, this has gone from a drinking glass was broken in a restaurant (whice the club paid for) to an all our riot and attempted murder by bellamy     :D

what a complete load of bollox. its obvious there has been some boisterous behaviour, they are guys drinking so what do you expect. but the extent this report has gone to in NOTW is just laughable. its a paper never held in high esteem anyway.

treat it with the contempt it deserves

yes but its not just NOTW it's also VG in Norway which is usually a very reliable newspaper, also interesting that when asked to comment Riise's spokeperson said it was an internal club matter and wouldn't comment. If it was :censored: he would have said it was :censored:.

But the point remains, why were the lads getting shitfaced anyway, I thought they were professional sthese days, I'm really dissapointed, no wonder we are so inconsistent if half the time the players are probably playing hungover !!

who the funk is riises spokesperson. anyone who makes a comment can be a spokesperson, what is the guys name?

come on mate dont be so naive, of course something has happened but it is being blown out of all proportion as the real truth wouldnt sell papers. it was probably a small matter.

whatever happend to innocent until proven guilty

:D

and so what, they had a drink 5 days before a game?

I don't believe rags like NOTW, but as already said it's been reported by reliable sources in Norway.

Regardless of whether or not it's true, it's not what we needed at this time.

If it is true then Bellamy and Riise should be shown the door. Same goes for Pennant,Dudek and Fowler.

There's no place for that kind of behavior. It's all good and well that they were having a good time but there's a limit for everything. They aren't on a sunday league team, they're professionals. They should conduct themselves like professionals and role models, not some clueless f#cks.

The lads got :censored: after Istanbul as well, I've seen videos and pictures but they didn't get out of order like it's being reported now.

We were supposed to relax in Portugal, not f#ck up the team chemistry before the biggest game of our season.

Fowler being :censored: again?

I got shot down for even suggesting Fowler has an unrofessional approach to his game (I.e going out and getting :censored: with Mcmanman)

our club needs a SERIOUS clear out...fowler and dudek are but 2

Whether its as bad as is being reported is open to question, the fact that its the last thing we needed before our biggest game of the season isnt.  I am very disappointed that so called professional footballers could leave themselves open for this sort of gutter scandle. They all know what to expect if they step out of line, the papers love anything like this. Now Benitez and his staff and probably Carra and Stevie, will have to waste time and effort answering stupid questions from the media instead of concentrating on one of the biggest games in there careers.

Exactly...that is the single most frustrating aspect. Whether or not there is any truth in the matter..These are professional footballers, who should be going out of their way to represent this club in a respectable fashion both on and equally as important, off the field of play.

The gutter press will have a field day with this..true or not. Now its down to the authorities at the club to smooth over the cracks and defend the clubs name, once again.

Quite simply they shouldnt be in a position to have to.

Spot on. And for all we know the players could had settled down and made peace with one another afterwards. But that won't sell papers, this bust up will and they will keep going with this story until the club rubbish it.

What is weird is that both us and Barca are supposedly having bust ups. Barca's was blown out of proportion [and ours will too] but they made up in training.

There were also various reports about clubs being interested in each others players. Barca were interested in Alonso supposedly while we were being linked with Dos Santos and Eto'o.

It's not good, no matter how you look at it.

At first I thought it was a load of :censored:.

Don't know the whole story so i'm prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt...... but theres no smoke without fire..... agree with s@int and red37...... our boys should know better than to put themselves in a compromising position which can be detrimental to the club's stature and reputation.... to top it all off, it's a few days before an important match, which can either make or break our season....

If theres even a modicum of truth to this then the club needs to nip this in the bud and get rid of all responsible.... I must say though, it's not at all surprising that Bellamy, Pennant and Fowler have all been named... after all their reputation does precede them and they're easy targets for the press.... Not surprised it's IF true though....

It comments like this that make my a*se laugh.

Some two-bit sh*trag reports a load of old rot, and you and Mr Heimdall run your mouths off like it's something to be rejoiced.

It's a load of old b*llocks, no matter how much you want to say "I told you so."

The only time any of our players would go for a drink nowadays is if they had the permission of the Manager.

So shut the f*ck up and stop pulling our lads down.

The pair of you should be ashamed. :no

I hope to god that you're right mate. But the thing is that these reports are coming from three different countries.

Portugal,Norway and England. I realize the sh!t that the English rags print day and day out but both of the sources outside of England are reliable according to what I've heard from natives of Portugal and Norway.

Regardless of whether it's true or not, the rags in England are going to run circles around the club with this story.

Bad timing.

Thing is - its like Igor (I think) said:

It's rubbish until there's a solid source. "A spokesman", "An Insider", blah, blah, blah.

It's all a journalistic cop-out. They might as well say "I'm lying here, but I'll word it so you can't sue me."

Wanktrafficers. :no
