I aren't on here much these days but when I am I notice there is still some of the same nonsense going on. The topic starter here is a persistent offender and I have to say it appears to me that they are a deliberate wind-up merchant. I'm going to lock this thread because it's ridiculous when you have another thread only about a centimetre away from it on your screen which is about the same subject. As a new Mod I don't want to get too authoritarian but I will definately ahve words with the others to see about some action here.
I don't intend this as criticism, but as a way to encourage the mods to feel free to be more restrictive with Wum (1) and posters that have no consideration towards others.
I don't think that closing a thread like the Barcelona one is authoritarian whatsoever. Opening a new thread when the same subject is being debated somewhere else might mean two things, either you haven't read the other thread, or you don't care. In either case closing the thread is normal, and it has nothing to do with being authoritarian.
There's an interesting stuff I must find about how the internet trolls work. Most of them have the common feature that they talk about freedom of speech when their posts are moderated.
So Bigmick and mods, as far as I'm concerned, do your stuff with no shame, and no explanations, you don't need to explain you're not authoritarian.
