You should be happy its snowing .......... Yay.

I remember, two years ago I think it was I was working in and around the Notting hill area. I started the job on a Thursday (installing Central heating systems) any way it was a two day job so I had to come back the Friday. Even more so, because I left the woman without no hot water for the night. So me supervisor said (as the snow was falling)
" You must go back, you cant leave her without hotwater all weekend."

So me and my apprentice went back on the friday. We finished at two. The roads had iced over by that time. Making our way back though Kilburn we were coming up to a mini-roundabout, so I put on the brakes and we locked up. Like Bambi on ice, I said to the apprentice " brace yourself mate" and we went sliding into an iron bollard on the side of the road.
Anyway I phoned my company to tell of my problems and that we needed towing. But nobody was bothered in the office as half of them were off because of the snow. So I phoned my supervisor and he couldnt help me, he'd decided not to go in either, I found out no body was in work and nobody was going to tow us.
So we grabbed all the powertools and left the van where it was. Most of the trains and tubes had shut down but we eventually found one open after we had a few pints along the way.

Monday morning I got a bolloking for leaving the van, as all the rest of the tools and what not had been robbed out of it.

So. .......... the moral of the story is, dont listen to your supervisor if its not a good idea and leave the woman for a few more days without hot water !
