[quote]I'd be very interested to see the final designs for the stadium. I don't know if the section on LFC's official website shows the final concept. It needs to be a monument. A real work of art. Not a souless concrete bowl like Arsenal's place.

agree with that one totally...... cant someone start a petition or something about keeping the kop? personally i think something along the lines of cardiff with " A SINGLE TIERED GRANDSTAND " would be most welcome...

i just hope mr moores made the right choice , and on first impressions it looks promising to me.

totally agree, its all fair and dandy to say that they've got money but we have to wait and see what they do in terms of running the club. I'm happy that Moores feels that the club is in safe hands and what they said about making Liverpool great again is all promising.  :)

D.I.C's 'Exit strategy' plan forced Moores into a rethink...

which we all heard rumours about. Now it seems, they were substantiated by fact.

Far too early to say but positive signs so far.

We don't yet know how the stadium will be financed. They've bought the club with their own cash and as yet, there's no debt. But what about the stadium?

Hopefully with Parry and Moores still having their say things will move on without getting too extreme, but I can't say whether they'll be good for us or not.

All will be revealed. Apparently.

So does this mean that you won't be organizing a protest for the match on Saturday?  ???  :D

It's a new stadium, I don't care what it's called if we have a great team playing in it.

Even the present Anfield isn't the stadium that say, Billy Liddel played in. The stadium Shankly's team played in only has the main Stand left.

Don't let sentiment stand in the way of progress, that was David Moores failing for so many years. Onwards and upwards.

I read that one of the new owners is a major contributor to George Bush's past campaigns which I hate, this might also affect our following int he middle east.

Also worried about two American rivals only one club, who calls the shots (remember Evans and GH)

Also, think Americans run sports clubs to make money and nothing else so they will only spend big money if the prize money from winning tournaments makes it worth the risk.

But happy the money for a new stadium is there.

Interesting stuff , would love to read the DIC document that the Echo got hold of . Anyone got a link ?

Would seem that the board have perhaps narrowly avoided a calamity for the club .

Must admit that DIC sounded just as genuine to me as the Americans now do .

i wouldn't say i'm happy but i wouldn't say i'm unhappy either - its too soon to say and the pair of them will need a thorough examination in the job before getting my vote of confidence. however, i'm relieved that we've finally got to the end of all the speculation, the drawn out saga of hunting for investment and that the new stadium has become a more (erm) concrete reality.

my one big worry is the same as what big niall has stated. george w bush. the day  that that warmongering wanker and disgusting excuse for a human being is welcomed as a guest at our club (if that day ever comes) is the day that i regrettably withdraw my interest in the whole affair and liverpool are one supporter less.

If being a friend of George W. Bush means that Hicks gets richer and gives us even more money, then I'm cool with that.

It's just business.

One problem with Hicks, is that a couple years back he made one of the WORST moves ever in shelling out a  record ammount of money for Alex Rodriguez, and didnt spend anymoney on anybody else and A-Rod had an MVP season, but his team was in last place, and ever since they sold a-rod they havent been competitive, and in baseball, all you need to be  competitive is the willingness to spend like the yankees and red sox. so i am really not sure what kind of budget Rafa will be getting, and I just hope the two owners have nothing to do with the team operations or  transfers other than signing checks for however much is neccessary to please Rafa.   and with the new stadium, I am not 100% sure on how euro style stadiums look but if it ends up with an American infulence, expect big Jumbo tron screens and luxury boxes.
