Owen... - ******, you were all so right about him...

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I'm only being pedantic with you Stu about the pedantic comment!

I think Stu missed the irony :)

With Champ league football next season there should be enough games for Owen, Baros and Cisse to satisfy their appetite particularly as Benitez has already hinted to rotated his squad to keep them fresh.

No-one can deny Mikeys form over the last two years has been below the standards he has set for himself. He has, to be fair, been feeding off scraps for much of the time. If Benitez can coach this Liverpool team to keep the ball and create then i'm sure the lad can play himself back into his early form. Plus, I think Mikey could use some pre-season sprint training as all the weights seem to have blunted his pace some what.

Baros can be a great player for us i'm sure. I hope he finds a home in the team. If he doesn't then his value is soaring with every goal. Hope he keeps scoring, i have money on him for the golden boot at 28/1  :)

I was an idiot, forgot to put my bet on till 5 minutes before the czechs opening game. By which time his odds had dropped from 50 to 28.

I think Baros is a realistic shout now, although I think Horse Face will take it in the end.

I think 5 goals will secure top scorer this time around, and it could be jointly held.

I certainly wouldn't rule out John Dahl Tommason. He's ten times the player now than he was at Newcastle.

Benitez is now the Boss. He decides what goes on, not the f***** players. I like his emphasis on pleasing the fans.
If Gerrard or anybody else wants to leave, fine.
Gerrard didn't do much at Euro 2004.
I really think his talent is being elevated beyond realism.
Hell Beckham went the same way. Watch the replays of the games.
After Euro 2004, would you buy Beckham now for 30 Million.
After Euro 2004, would you sell Gerrard for 30 Million.
I'd sell Gerrard, if he didn't want to go.

don't make me laugh, heskey is ******, whoever said that is correct, he shouldnt even be picked for england, vassell shouldn't of been picked, defoe was one player that should of been picked and james beattie hes done more than enough to be picked fro england, im not english, but from a objective point of view a few players playing for england aren't good enough, i mean bringing joe cole and kieran dyer and not giving them a sniff, is not a good selection policy

Owen, *******, you were all so right about him,

HE NEEDS MORE TRAINING! 1ST TOUCH etc.....
HE NEEDS TO START BANGING IN GOALS.
HE NEEDS TO CREATE SOME CHANCES HIMSELF. HAS TO LEARN NOT TO WAIT.
HE GOT TO KNOW THAT A TEAM WINS BECAUSE OF GOALS SCORED.

Same here ???

The 5 best players i have seen playing for Liverpool in order.

1. Michael Owen
2. Steven Gerrard
3. Sami Hyypia and Robbie Fowler
4. McManaman

I haven't seen the past "greats" (for want of a better word) such as Dalglish, Rush (at his best) and Barnes (at his best). However this lot, when on form where the ones that stood out. Heskey was probably next in the list when on top of his game and playing well... unfortunately that didn't happen enough.

I can see a lot of people disagreeing with this^^

stu, consider they might stand out because they were only in mediocre teams that never won anything.
