why the hell are the old farts at the fa fannying around with the paperwork?

to be honest they should be more concerned with why the player is owned by someone else and not by a club.

What is Sissoko's position then?

he sees him as a central midfielder more than a defensive midfielder

to charge around the pitch like he's a sted head and stick his foot in on the opposition, win the ball back, give a dodgy pass or two and blaze a shot high and wide  :D

So if the Premier League disapprove the move, do we have to pay his wages for the 6 months that he's not playing?

Matt McQueen - Liverpool 1892-1928.
Only professional to - play in goal (41 appearances), Defence, Midfield, Striker, and later be Director and then to be Manager (winning a Championship) - at one club

I really can't see the league overturning the precedent that FIFA have set. However, if they did, I'd presume we would be stuck with his wages, as the contract is between us & the player, whether the league decides to let him play has no bearing on that contract.

Well, he certainly doesn't play like a Central Midfielder. He can't pass well, can't shoot for peanuts and can't dictate a game. But he is excellent at chasing down people and tackling the :censored: out of them. Sound more like a Defensive/Holding Midfielder than a Central one to me.

Not sure how we would use Masherano now that Momo is fit.  I am still wondering how we are going to play Gerrard, Alonso, and Momo, I am guessing putting Stevie G on the Right, but there is no denying that he has picked up his form with consistent play in Central Midfield.  Using Mascherano as a sub for Momo makes sense, but I would love to see them play together, both in defensive midfield roles, they would be like the BASH BROTHERS, this certainly would allow us to only need 3 defenders Finnan, Carra and Agger, with Gerrard wide on the right playing down the pitch and Riise/Aurelio wide on the left in a more defensive minded wing midfield role, Xabi Controlling everything else in the center, with 2 strikers.

I read somewhere that the FA wont be getting back to us untill early next week at the earliest.  Why it takes the FA so long i have no idea but meanwhile we are restricted by them.  To think its taken Fifa and the FA well over 30 days to sort this out .............. and i thought i was bad at my job!!!!

Hopefully Masch will be a scouse by the end of next week.
