Can anyone recommend something funny? Not an autobiog or sh*te like that - just a good plot that has side-splitting humour in it.

I can't be a*sed reading something that doesn't make me chuckle.

currently reading the regualtors, by stephen kings alter ego richard bachman.. a good lil horror

best book read recently were the straw men trilogy (crime horror by a british writer) by michael marshall, i urge u o check them out

I bought Stephen Kings "Cell" yesterday. Have only just started reading it. So far it seems quite good. I'm also reading "the Talisman" by King and a guy called Peter Straub. Its very good. Its a bit of a bumpy ride at the beginning but it gets better. Its one of those books that you need to read when your on your own. If someone talks to you, you loose where you are and have to start again, if you know what I mean :)

Although "Cell" is a really good book, I dont think its Stephen King at his best. The story line is really good but the end leaves you swinging!!!! Maybe there will be a second book.

A good book, but a cr@ppy ending! 6/10

Just bought Mr and Mrs Nice. I read Mr Nice (Howard Mark's autobiography) but thought it would be good to ready Judy's story.

I recommend Mr Nice to anyone who likes a good read!!! Will let you's know about Judy's book.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon.

How long could we maintain? I wondered. How long until one of us starts raving and jabbering at this boy? What will he think then? This same lonely desert was the last known home of the Manson family; will he make that grim connection when my attorney starts screaming about bats and huge manta rays coming down on the car? If so, well, we'll just have to cut his head off and bury him somewhere, 'cause it goes without saying that we can't turn him loose. He'd report us at once to some kind of outback Nazi law enforcement agency and they'll run us down like dogs. Jesus, did I say that? Or just think it? Was I talking? Did they hear me?

Re-reading this one .The funniest book I've ever read
