Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

There shouldnt be anyone at the club shouting the odds after one win (despite how impressive the performance), we are still some way behind united who havent dropped many points this season, a loss at Arsenal will hardly be seen as a setback either.
Next up for united is a home banker Watford, then Spurs away which is a potential banana skin, all we can do is try and stay closer to the top two and if they slip up see what happens.
11 points seems too far, but if united where to lose a key player or two then you never know.

Utd have got the exact opposite of our start to the season now. They have to go to Anfield, Stamford Bridge, City of Manchester, Goodison and White Hart Line yet.

I am not saying the league was fixed but it was very unkind to us with our hardest games all bunched at the start, Utd's are all bunched at the end of the season.

Should be interesting.....

Interesting fact I found out today:

We are actually better off points wise at the moment than we were at the at the same stage last year!

Interesting?

It brings a smile to my face to see fellow supporters believing we can win the title, but I do not feel it is as clear cut as you make it out to be, that’s not to say it’s impossible. Realistically we can’t achieve it, but impossible is nothing and who knows if United slip up enough and we can capitalise we could well be crowned champions of English football.  FWIW I don’t think we will, I don’t think we’ll get enough points, but second is achievable.

Only joking mate - welcome to the forum.

I may be on my own, but I just have a feeling that all the stick Rafa has took about rotation and exiting the cups the way we did, that he might make them eat their words.

Its still possible, so I want discard anything.  :eyebrow

My logic is rather similar to my intelligence, slow. I take things slow, sit back and relax, take my time over decisions, call it a lax attitude. It’s not impossible to capture the League, but if I’m honest, it’s unlikely, but football is a funny old game, so I like you won’t be discarding anything. I am however putting this hyperbole to the back of my mind for the time being and I am thoroughly looking forward to a match up with West Ham FC. If we beat West Ham and keep on being consistent across the board, who knows.
