Heskey over Vassell.... YES!!

Over Rooney? Lol don't be silly.

I'm not an England fan, but if i was i'd be very excited at the prospect of these two playing upfront for the next 6 years at least.

Houllier got the best out of Owen a few seasons ago with the players we had at the time.

He'll bang the goals in for us next season. Its almost a garentee.

Instead of playing Owen in a "Dalgleish" role for Rooney's "Rush" when the injury happened SWEDEHEAD should have reverted to a winning partnership - OWEN/HESKEY - I said it when it happened and like it or lump it it works!!!

Sven's another smartarse who "knows better than us" MY AR SE!!!

i think cisse and baros will play a big part in next season Stu, i have said this for ages baros deserved more chances than he actually got.

Listen mate (i'm assuming you're a kid?)...

Baros is a really good player and has alot of potential. He could become a really good asset to the club and an important squad member, however... he's NOWHERE NEAR... i repeat... NOWHERE NEAR Owen's class.

He never will be.

It just pee's me off all these know nothin idiots tellin us how ****** Owen is etc every time he has a bad patch.

Its boring, pedantic and damn right stupid.

These morons never learn by there mistakes either, then say how right they were all along... when in truth they know ****** all about the game.

I would have put joe cole on for rooney, let him feed balls through to Owen.Not knocking Vassell , he always plays fairly well for us but doesn't really spark with Owen.
Have to question Svens tactics.......defending so deep. When we went behind we had a go at them again took a chance and scored, a bit more of that and we might have won it.

yeah fair play I never once slagged owen off! People always write the lad off he just comes back and bags a goal or two!

I just think we will have more attacking options next season, just think cisse and baros will have a big say on how we do next year. Who knows Owen might be left on the bench in some games!

I know everyone slagged Heskey off but it wasn't him that was the problem.
He is and was the perfect partner for Owen who should be cherished for what he is - CLASS and Heskey works for him.
