Top 10 contenders for new mod not in any order of preferance :-

Woof -(well, it is his thread ) Good poster, posts in both General chat and Liverpool General Discussion, would do a good job. Well respected and has all the qualities to be a good mod. Only negative is he doesnt come on at night. If we get two new mods should definitely be one.

Lando -Top man as he proved with Drummerphil, would certainly give the W.U.M.'s a run for their money. Good poster (much better than many credit) Maybe a surprising option to some but a strong contender. Comes on at night so ideal for the late shift.
Personally I wouldn't want Lando as a mod because he makes me laugh a lot and I wouldn't want to lose that from the site, and he would have to "tone" it down a bit if he became a mod.

peewee - Good poster in both general chat and Liverpool General Discussion. Comes on at night and with his first class detective skills would soon sniff out the trouble makers. Stands his ground when he thinks he's right and gets his point across well. Well liked and respected.
Maybe a bit too controversial an appointment just now after all the fuss over the last few days.

LFC#1 -Good poster, doesn't seem to fall out with people and comes on at night. Seems reasonable and well balanced (so that will make a nice change for a mod  ) Seems to get on with everyone without being an a$$ kisser. Would be a good mod,definitely a front runner.
Doesnt post in general chat as much as some, and thats where a lot of the problems seem to originate.

Rafa-Dodd -Excellent poster in Liverpool General Discussion, gets on with most and is sometimes on at night.
Maybe posts too many links to porn sites(If that doesn't get you elected Rafa nothing will )

Sabre - Top man, knows his football, well balanced, reasonable and well liked.
May not understand all the subtleties of general chat to moderate it effectively. (Especially some of Lando's insults )

Dawson - Would make a great mod, quick witted and well liked. Understands general chat and posts good stuff in Liverpool General Discussion (when he can drag himself away from "the real world")
Maybe too easy going to be a mod?

Leon - No-one would mess around if Leon was the mod. Well respected poster knows his football.
Would frighten too many posters away (Worst nightmare Leon with a badge )

Ciggy, Bad Bob, Woolyback, Red37 would all be great choices as well (I just got bored sorry)

saint- lives on here at the moment, there is a rumor his wife saw him in the kitchen the other day and thought it was a burgalar. has been likened to robinson crusoe by his family who think he is lost on a desert island, they just havent checked the spare room where the computer is. he comes from leigh so knows all about retardation.

he is level headed, people put their pints on his head when hes in the alehouse, is a good poster and calm and collected

I'm a moderator in other forums, smaller than this one and I'm fúcking tired of that work, I don't want more work.

The point about don't understanding details of gen chat, is absolutely true.

Quite simply a new mod should follow that criteria, or keep the good job that are doing current mods, and did JBG at his time. I'd become highly impopular in 1 week if I started to give warnings according to that criteria. I'd be like a ref that shows too many yellows, and I'd become well hated soon enough

I preffer to continue enjoying the best part of the forum, 1.- Read and 2.- Post.

I  think  that not only here but everywhere being a moderator is seen as a privilege. On the contrary it is a nuisance and a burden. No matter if it's a footie, computer, english or Spanish forum.

I wouldn't be against being a mod though
