The reality is that we'll never know if we've missed him because he's just such an enigma.  If we go out to Barca we can wonder if Garcia would have scored/created the goals to carry us through...always a possibility.  Equally possible, though, would be him gifting the ball to Barca, leading to a move that cost us the killer goal.  Be prepared for an interminable discussion on this one! :nod

oh i am just so frustrated at the moment i feel like giving rafa a kick up his sh!tther to wake him up to his mistakes, the frustrating thing is we cant do anything about it while the happy clappy brigade trawl out the same old "we are further on with rafa and trust the boss" bollox.

i think pressure needs to be put on him to sort out this mess before we get deper in the mire. we are just not good enough and it hurts me to say that
:(

I agree we won't miss him at all. He gives the ball away all the time and has done nothing to contribute to the team since he came. The goals his scored which have won games or lead to wins mean nothing. With the squad we got at the moment Rafa will have much better options to pick from.

Saying that though he has created a few goals as well but I suppouse the fact he gives the ball away is more important as I reckon another squad player who keeps the ball better will create and score the goals that can win games.

Never mind his passing! Yes he does loose the ball a lot.In his defence some may argue that he is a very intelligent footballer and some players find it hard to read his audacious style...hence passes go missing!

TBH i dont think hes a big loss in the league...at home hes Ok but away he struggles when team are physical and hussle for every ball..he aint tough enough.

But he will be a MAJOR loss in the Champions League for us!

Hope he has a speedy and full recovery!

Terrible news that.

He's an essential member of our squad and a certain starter in important CL games imo.

For those saying he won't be missed - you're talking out your back passages.

The guy's scored over 30 goals in two and a half seasons, playing in midfield and not always a regular starter.  That's fantastic whatever way you look like it.  To be honest I think he's been under-used this season.

when hes fit everyone slags him off, when hes injured everyone says its the end of the world.

i think its gonna be a big miss myself, hes a big player for the big games, but we'll adapt, we'll cope, and just hope he gets back soon

I stopped reading after that first sentence.

He isn't great and I'm not claiming that he is, or that he's good enough to play all the time. However, I think it's rubbish to say that we won't miss him at ALL.

He's scored 30goals in 85games. That's f#cking fantastic for a midfielder who plays on the flanks all the time.

If we sold LG now (not now that is injured, but the week ago) we would have received more money than the one we paid for him. I wonder how many of those players who people miss a lot fit this criteria.

One of the most underrated players here, we'll notice that when we are surprised the amount of money they'd pay for him.

He's been always questioned. When we were wondering how would be our squad this year, we talked about Pennant, about Kuyt, about Bellamy, about Gonzo. Some said that LG wouldn't have much first team football, no place for him.

But the facts are the facts, and the players that are good always play. And he's not only good but versatile, he can play in the left, in the right and as a second striker. We won't miss him... ah well.

I have always liked little luis garcia, fair enough he can be annoying but he is sheer class..... love to see him more as a forward when he gets back  cause i think he would be the business..... luis garcia playing off david villa !
he is our 3rd biggest shooter behind kuyt and gerrard and our 2nd best dribbler , scores crackers in the champ league , brill at home so he 'll be missed in those games

Garcia will definitely be missed.  He always seems to score the odd goal just at the right time.  He's definitely a large contributor to the team, especially in the CL and at home.

No, you're absolutely right - scoring winning goals means absolutely nothing.  :Oo:

Garcia is an annoying little sod, and half the time im screaming for Rafa to take him off (usually just before he scores ) and the rest of the time im screaming for Rafa to bring him on. He will definitely be missed as he brings an extra dimension to Liverpools play.

A.B your funny, I suggest you should have read on as you misght possiibly have seen that the post was written in a sarcastic manner.

May I suggest these 3 steps when you post. READ, UNDERSTAND AND THEN REPLY.  :D

Garica will be missed, CL especially. Anyone who thinks other wise is a strange person.
