I dont care how good they are. You might not agree with me but my hatred for mancs is too deep rooted (just like everyone elses im sure) to even consider signing someone who used to play for them. Throw in the fact he probably wouldn't be interested in coming to Liverpool and the fact hes past his best and i dont see it happening.

Can accept the second part of this statement , the first part however is sadly indicative of an increasingly ugly trend amongst many "fans" . Failure to appreciate a players quality is overshadowed by  hatred (that is just a step away from racist )purely because the man played for a team we don't like.

Grow up .

Okay maybe i slightly overreacted but i just don't like him as a person either. If it was say Saha or Carrick i wouldn't have a problem but as a person Beckham is someone i wouldnt like to see in a red shirt.

Is that any better?

Really can't see it ever happening but it's a fun one to debate. Simply can't see him in a Red shirt, the same way you could never see Giggs, Neville or Scholes.

Just pretend for a minute (i know it's hard) that he never played for the mancs (i still can't do it!) Would you sign him then?

I'm not sure how much he has left to give but i understand he was Madrid'd best player (or thereabouts) last season. I think his fitness has suffered in Spain and it would take him time to get up to speed but you can't deny he still has quality. He is still the best crosser/deadball specialist i have ever seen, an excellent passer, very determined, works hard and brings leadership. Does he have the legs at 31/32 for another stint in England and would it be worth the circus that follows him? I don't know.

Am just finishing Gerrard's book and in it he is very complimentary about Beckham. I don't know if he has any sway with Rafa in terms of transfer targets but it wouldn't surprise me if Stevie pushed for the move if Beckham falls out of Madrid. Still can't see it happening but anything can happen in football. Who saw Robbie coming home last January?

I think he would be a great addition for us ..can provide sharp cross to the danger area in the box althou the man does not have speed he's passing ability is great and a great asset during a deadball situation...he n penant are very very different type of player so we can have more option juz the way benitez likes it

But i dun see him coming :p

Certainly on crosses and dead balls he's up there with the best ever in my book . How many times (last night for example) would we have welcomed his dead ball skills.

But as you point out , if it was a real possibility would we want the circus that would follow him ? probably not .
