Liverpool vs arsenal - Carling cup qtr final

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

This won't affect the new investors.

They probably lose the GDP of a small Carbbean nation just from one trip to the races.

I doubt they'll be bothered about the Carling Cup.

I said before that I'm not sure who could do the job but, and I know I'll get slammed for this, I would love to see O'Neill. I know he's not doing too well at Aston Villa but seriously who would.

Actually how about Capelli, after 2 defeats (oh the horror !! ;-) ) it looks like Real want rid of him, maybe we can swap Rafa for him.

shut up idiot.

Sack Rafa?  You've obviously not a real fan and only follow Liverpool from your TV.

again with the insults, are you guys so f%&king insecure you feel the need to attack anyone who has a different point of view. I'm actually laying out a rational argument and instead of telling me why Rafa is so good all you are able to do is hurl abuse and TRY, and I do use that word loosely, to belittle other people.

Tell me what what was so good about what Rafa did tonight and on Saturday, lets have a proper debate!!

you are saying we should sack Rafa?  who for?

O'Niel?  whats he done at Villa?  nothing.

Capelli- the man who only won stuff with Juventus because they cheated and is past it.

you're talking :censored:....i've supported liverpool for 15 years and i can tell a plastic when i see one.  You SUPPORT your team when they lose...you don't starting slagging them off.

Go and support Chelsea if you don't like it.

Joke of the century

Just few days I have said the LFC will be out of all cup competitions by next month, however, I knew that Rafa's team will end up well beaten in tonight game because of his lousy team selection especially keeping Dudek in goal, but I did not expect this horror show of bad play by many unpromising young players for the future of LFC, this is prove that there is serious mistakes that is taking place at LFC youth academy!!!!!!!!!

I am ashamed and worried Liverpool fan, who has never expected to see his beloved football team, is allowed to be beaten by a good team, but not a very good team, in this manner, where the main blame lies with the stupid manager like Rafa, who deserve to be sacked, in order for the LFC to gain some respect, this result (the Joke) will haunt LFC for many years to come and will over shadow all of the recent success that the club had over the past years. I just do not understand Rafa's managing style this season in particular it has been idiotic and not clever and it does not make sense but only to him!!!!!, he must be from a different World!!!, I like a manager who make mistake, but manage to rectify it quickly, but not Rafa, who make a mistake, and repeat it again without a shame, and says he was right. A manager like this will not take LFC forward, and build a strong A & B teams filled with hard working players in order to challenge the World's best teams, this is the LFC I used to know, and I do not want to see, NOT THIS RECENT :censored:.

The present owner and Board of Directors must act very quickly and save this famous club for further decline, the club has been in decline since early 90's and we have seen many managers under achieved and many middle class players comes and goes, the club does need major changes, and a solid youth foundation is very much needed for this club's future in order to stay with top teams in UK and Europe.  I just wonder if the new proposed owner will not be worried by this recent laughable joke of 9th of January 2007, which I hope it does not cool their interest in the club.  I sincerely believe this manager Rafa, should be sacked immediately, be replaced by another manager from many of former Liverpool FC players/managers, as we can see the original LFC sprit has been gone is about to go forever, and once this happened, then you could kiss the LFC goodbye, I am so fed up being used to many disappointment for the last 16 years or so, I am quite aware that the game has changed, but LFC MUST adept with changes.

I LOVE LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB FOREVER, BUT I AM SO DISRESSED

Manhattan's mother made the observation of the night.

At 6-3 down she said "Arsenal have a lot of tall black players, don't they?"

I said "Yeah....what's with that?"

all i can say is... i blame rafa ! hes the manager and is the one to blame for such results first and foremost !

shiitty shiiitty result in yet another game we should have won !

poor managing by rafa this season... hope it all works out by the end of the season somehow...

thought we would improve from last season... apparently we only got worse... we should take a look at the things we changed... and i think we'll figure out where we went wrong !

don"t talk sh1t ! the player"s are to blame not raffa! there was plenty of players tonight, who had the chance to prove themselves, and fecked up big time! imho there was no fight, passion, or any FRINGE player who took there chance tonight to say to raffa -PICK Me. people on this forum have said for weeks give aurellio a run in the team- why? what does he bring to the team -feck all imho, warnock isn"t good enough end of.this is not a knee jerk re-action,anyone who was at the game tonight would of seen the look on raffa"s face throughout the game.the players tonight were very disapionting when given a chance to shine! after all that"s what rotation is all about isn"t it -if i play my heart out it will make it hard for the manager to drop me etc.

Don't get me wrong the players didn't take their chances and were very dissapointing, especially young Fowler ;-) but this was not the game to give them that chance, that is my point, and that was the fatal error fthat Rafa made. I'll give him till the end of the season and I will back the team all the way but I am very very depressed at the moment, that was Arsenal's junior team ffs, how can we compete with that, we are miles behind the top teams!!

Bloody Hell, you go the Cinema for a couple a hours to watch a movie and come back to find the reds have been spanked 6 FUCKING 3.

If Manhattan wasn't coming up with these pearlers tonight I think I might be sat in the corner of a darkened room rocking myself back and forth! :)

SHOCKED

GUTTED

AMAZED (in a bad way)

and downright DISGUSTED

Dudek is living off of Istanbul. He is NOT good enough any more for a top class club of LFC's stature and should quite frankly be bombed out now for all I care.

Rafa dropped a major boll ock tonight with the team and for that I'm disappointed with him but I'm not gonna crucify him like some. The poor césped(SOD for all non-spanish speakers - including me :;):  ) looked totally shell shocked in his interview on SSNews and I don't think he could have envisaged such a defeat in his worst dreams. Yes his team selection tonight was questionable but he has been badly let down by some of the 'PLAYERS' this season and again tonight BIG TIME.

i missed the game. i take it we lost. better sack the manager then, eh? that should fix it.

actually, i'm finding that the best way to deal with this is to laugh out loud as much as possible and i have to thank manhattan for his help with that. especially the bit about when his dog died.
