He's actually declared himself available for selection for the Republic of Ireland rather than Scotlad, so it looks like we have our next Tony Cascarino
he decidided to play to ireland after he promised his grandad while he was dying, but he is getting abuse off the scotish for making this decision
irish players are legend,we brought the aldo,lawrenson,whelan,staunton...and so onto liverpool, the roy keanes,i could be here all day,we have great strikers in keane, doyle, anthony stokes(well he sounds good)
damien duff, steven ried, andy reid, aidan mcgeady, richard dunne, paul mcshane(remember the name!!!) and the one and only shay givenm,,,
emlyn hughes:"liverpool are magic, everton are tragic"
Sadly another plastic paddy. Kids up here who chose RoI ahead of Scotland due to having an Irish granny are generally despised and have certain labels attached. The association with Ireland has many Sectarian connotations up here so it never goes down well when players do this.
Anyway, ramble aside, he's an OK player, but doesn't play regularly on account of his age. He did score 2 today, but only started because Hamilton Accies were ravaged with injury. Im a season ticket holder at the team who Hamilton were playing AGAINST today (i follow Livingston out of locality) and so have seen him twice already this season. Although he has obvious talent, there are many better players in the Scottish Leagues.
And apart from being a Man Utd player, there is nothing (extremely badly) wrong with Fletcher
I should add (i would have edited my previous post, but meh) that the 2 goals he scored today were the first 2 goals the boy has scored at professional level in Scotland (according to the BBC anyway).
