crouch commits future to Liverpool

"I have heard all the speculation and all I can say is I am happy here and love playing for the club," Crouch said.

"It is a fantastic club, all the games are massive and I wouldn't want to leave. I see my future here and as long as the manager doesn't want me to go, I won't be going."

"I have had challenges throughout my career and this is another one," he added. "There are a lot of players who get rotated and I am not the only one.

"When you get a chance, you've got to take it. Hopefully I've given the manager something to think about. We all need to impress, not just those who are in and out.

"It can get frustrating when you want to play every game and do your best for the club, but all you can do is keep working hard.

"I know the manager has got no problem with me. Everyone who knows me knows my attitude won't change. I've always worked hard and given my all, and that's always going to be the case."

when he learns how to attack a cross in the air he will score very game, and get paco to get milan baros head weights that pulled his head down ,plonk them on crouchie to build some neck muscles up and the lad will bury every header :D

You don't seem to understand; its one thing being able to hav a powerful header, but you need to direct the fecking ball. Many many many times h is presented with a great ball, and even soemtimes gets the required power, but the ball is headed AT the keeper.

Peter isnt 17 years old, you cant just pick things up to your game. You either have the ability or you dont. Like I say, he has reasonable ability, but its nothing special and nothing onother 7-8m pound players such as Anelka or Bellamy or even Mcarthy.

In short, (oh the irony), he will do a job against most, but against the top clubs he doesnt cut the mustard.

i have got to eat my words, i said at the beginning of the season that bellamy and kuyt would be our main strikers and crouch merely an impact player off the bench --- i was wrong (partly)

crouch has a massive part to play at liverpool and i'd be genuinely saddened if he left for any fee. he's needed in away games against physical opponents and liverpool fc would be worse off without him on the payroll

but i do stand by the view that he is not suited to the big games and struggles against the league's best defenders.

No matter what he does, how he scores, how many he scores or what he acheives some will never be happy with Crouch at LFC but ive yet to even understand let alone agree withany of these flawed ignorant opinions. Many didn`t want him to sign in the first place and then when he went a long run of games without scoring they felt vilafied, it didnt matter he was playing well, contributing and most importantly part of a winning side, it was only a matter of time of course before the goals came and when they did and not just for Liverpool these same "fans" didn`t like being proved wrong, and oh how he proved them wrong, the people who said he wasnt worth a penny of the 7million are now saying if we can get more than 10 then we should sell.
I find it hard to believe just how blinkered some can be ( he actually gets slaged off for not scoring in games he didnt play ) take the Bolton game it can be worrying at times that without Bellamy the front line is going to be a bit one dimensional, not the case some of the best attacking play ive seen for a while both forwards linking up with each other as well as the rest of the team with great pricision , Crouch as always worked hard showed some lovely touches and control, dribled round four of them, and put away another stunning overhead kick, what happens he`s slated for missing a couple of chances, show me a striker that nets almost every chance he gets. For all the Goals the likes of God and Owen scored theirs a sh.it load that got away, it used to seem at times Owen needed to miss three guilt edged chances before he could score a blinder but of course they were Anfields own, Crouch isnt.
Crouch`s heading ability is good his knock downs and flickons often result in chances and goals, his heading infront of goal can at times let him down but at six foot seven he gets alot of chances others wouldn`t and he by no means misses them all, just because he`s tall dosent mean he has to be a natural consistant class header of the ball, just like not all black forwards are by defalt quick.
Dont let these idiots bully you into thinking anything less than Peter Crouch is a great asset to LFC and if he were to be sold would fetch almost twise as much as we "wasted" on him. Although theres no chance of that unless Rafa already has someone else lined up, even then a gamble IMO look at Cisse, Morrientes.
There will be a forward coming proberly in the summer but i dont think it will be for Crouch, is he going to score 25+ a season    no, is he a quality player yes, just ask any EPL manager

BS! His footwork is pathetic, when was he ever a threat to the opposition when he is outside the box? NEVER, yes he did dribbled past a couple of players in the last game, but he was never a threat to the goal keeper. Has he ever beat an opposition defender in a 1on1 contest and kicks a goal after dribble past him?  Has he ever assists in goals?  I don't remember seeing him making a good pass.  He relies heavily on a very good, precised, and accurate kick to take any advantage.
We are a big club we can get a better striker than Peter Crouch.

He's a good player. He needs to add some muscle mass though. He's tall, but kinda slight.

Get real, his link up play is often top class.
His game has never been about pace.
I think youl`ll find he assists quite alot, set up a fare few for Stevie G.
As i said any topclass manager would tell you Crouch is a quality player, look at his international record for feck sake, what that luck :p
